The product is described and shown on the label as the Lisol brand, of British origin. Further around on the label it shows the “PRODUCED IN LTAIY” which I assume is meant to be “Italy”. Sadly, the bag with Amazon’s barcode on it also shows that the contents are “Made in PRC”.
There is no ingredient list on the bag or the bottle (as required in both the US and UK for food products), so I suspect that it is NOT edible. It may actually be classified as “non-toxic” but I’m not going to risk my customers – I can only use this on non-edible decor.

This gold dust goes a long way! It mixed easy with vodka. I made a white chocolate dip the painted it with the gold dust mixed with vodka.

I saw edible gold dust being used recently in a baking show. I was so pleased that it arrived fast enough for me to try with my Xmas baking. I LOVE it. It is not cheap, however, it is economic because one does not need a lot to get the effect. I used the luster with a bit of gin. Most people use vodka, but I did not have any. The alcohol evaporates and the gold dries very quickly. Once on, it does not rub off. Now nobody wants to eat the cookie stars and trees because they look so pretty. I used the little stars to hide little cracks in the cheese cake.
I just wish I had drawing talent. there is so much that could be done with this edible gold dust.

I am so impressed with this product! I used this product last weekend and absolutely loved it. I mixed it with vodka and it had a great consistency and very good colour and coverage. I will definitely be ordering this product again!!

I have used this as both a luster dust on fondant as well as an edible paint (by adding vodka). Also works well mixed with confectioners sugar and vodka for a gold drip which does not need to then be painted. I have bought a second bottle of this and will purchase again.

The jar looks small in the picture but beware that there is even less product in the jar (around half of the jar total) and I haven’t even opened it yet. It also states on in the picture that it is “British” but when you get it, there is no ingredient list and contradicts itself where it’s actually made in the package. This product, even though fulfilled by Amazon, is completely unreturnable. I wouldn’t recommend it.

After reading the reviews, I was preparing myself to receive a « half full » bottle of powder(which I was ok with). However when I received mine, it was quite full which was a pleasant surprise! It’s flavourless so it doesn’t take away from my deserts and very easy to use!

I love it. A little messy though. The opening is small and needs a small brush. My whole counter had sparkles after but it was easy to clean. Hot choc bombs looked amazing

Great value for money. I just wish edible gold powder could be less orange. The gold that you get is a very warm, red/orange gold and I haven’t found any edible ones that are a cool tone of gold. I used this to paint an entire cake so I needed to be sure it was 100% edible. Next time I would use a green base fondant and paint over it with this product. Then I think it would be great. Otherwise, paint coverage was good and it was a good price.

This product goes on my cakes so beautifully! I’ve had issues finding one that is thick enough to really cover and this one does the trick. I don’t even have to dye my fondant before painting, I just mixed some of the dust in a separate bowl with a little vodka and a nice paint brush and it really made my cakes pop!

Perfect! Added vodka so I could paint on fondant cake toppers.

Truest gold I’ve ever bought! No unpleasant smells, easy to mix and adds a very rich luster to everything it touches.
