This fryer has a magnetic plug for safety but we found out it will not shut of until it’s unplugged from the wall the fryer works great but will not shut of until unplugged very easy to clean I like it. Update this year 2019 . This fryer was bought Nov 2018 The fryer with moderate use has failed, and was well cared for. I will be contacting Hamilton Beach to let you know if they are fair.

The cord is ver short, plus I don’t feel safe using it. When you lift the basket, it drips oil all over your counter and makes it very slippery. The last thing you want is a bunch of hot oil falling off your counter. Plus the timer doesn’t work, and there is no off/on button. I have had a few deep fryers in the pasta d this is the worst one ever.

Bought this deep fryer for fun and didnt have the highest expectations because of low price point but this is a perfect deep fryer for a small family. Doeant take long to set up and start frying heats quick. The lid is much sturdyer then i thought it was going to be and held in all the mess. You cant even complain about the cleanup all the mess is contained within the fryer itself. Overall this little fryer is awsome cooks food nice the timer is also a nice added feauture.

After spending almost one hour with an Amazon rep. who in turn communicated with the supplier to exchange my product ( according to warranty) I was promised an email within 1-2 business days from the supplier. Ordered this about a year or more ago and didn’t want to write a review until I saw how long it was going to last. The last 2 we purchased lasted 6 months each however this one was well worth the money! It is large, for our family of 5 (sometimes 6), heats up quick and after we figured out how to use it, it worked great! After this one, I think we will buy one that filters the oil to save more money and time on replacing it but this one is definitely worth the money and has done its job for the last year at least.
