Works exactly as advertised. Looks like good quality. I use it to plug a PS3, Apple TV 4th gen, and an extra hdmi when I plug my laptop in. All work just fine.

Update April 2016: Well, the button to switch stopped working a couple weeks ago (that we noticed). The hdmi signal still carries through but it no longer serves its purpose. It could have broken months ago, as we hardly ever switch the ports (we leave it on Apple tv), and that just tells me that even with minimal use, this thing lasted under a year, and now I can’t even file for an exchange or anything. Actually I should have gotten a clue a few months ago when I had to remove my PS3 out of it because it seemingly stopped supporting it (would no longer carry the signal), but the rest did. I thought my PS3 was acting up, silly me.

Buyer beware… unless you don’t mind paying 25$ for 8-10 months of potential proper use (the only reason I give two stars instead of one).

As described however I bought this on the premis that it would ‘auto detect’ my imput selection. Alas this was not the case and I still have to get my ass out of bed when switching between Apple Tv and my cable provider. On a plus its well constructed and the convenient ‘manual’ switch works a treat.

I think that was the only way it was ever going to change imput devices but I will await the suppliers response to me before I make that though conclusive.

Wait…….dont spend you money on this as it does not do as advertised.

Well I wanted a switch that would be HDCP compliant and have HDMI ports solve my transmitting my computer screen to the tv screen which may be rejecting it be cause of HDCP concerns. This did not help this issue. It is possible this switch is okay for other issues or problems but did not solve this issue of computer to tv transmission for me.

Noticed problems the moment I plugged it in, would not read 1 of my devices, figured I would only use it for the other 2 I had, within 2 days those devices are now fried plus the stereo receiver I had it plugged into!! This little thing which I thought was a great idea and for a cheap price has now cost me $1000+ in broken devices!! I don’t know how it happened to fry them but they’re all toast now! DO NOT BUY!!!!

Any device that has standby mode, android TV box, set top box with recorder means this does not work. It see the live feed to the HDMI, even if the HDMI signal is ot there, and does not switch automatically when another device comes on line. Actually it did not work even I pulled mains power to each device and plugged them back in one by one.

It works ok but only manually. Nothing I did could convince it to work automatically.

Still the exercise, to and from the TV, is good for me, although the Select button is difficult to see at the back of the TV. A blob of white paint on it solved that problem!

The biggest dealbreaker for me here is that it seems to have a lot of trouble with my PS4. I have a Rogers Box, PS4, and a PC plugged into this thing all once and whenever I use the PS4 it either have trouble detecting it or it gives me a very flakey picture with pixel popping all over the screen. I read online that the perhaps the PS4 isn’t supplying it with enough power so it might be behaving strange so I should try to use it with the other devices powered on to “compensate”, but this proved useless. For this reason I’m going to have to buy another HDMI Switch because this one doesn’t satisfy my requirements.

Some other minor grievances are also that the ports are VERY snug, so you really have to put some elbow grease in there to get them in. Also, the cable end has a female end which seems silly to me because I would rather have one long cable from my tv to my sources than several long cables from my sources to my tv, which seems like the way this was intended to be used. So I had to buy and HDMI coupler to make this work with my setup.

There are splitters that support HDCP so you can plug a modern display (for example). There are splitters that strip HDCP so you can use the devices the way you want without big brother putting his hand in your pocket to interfere. This device does neither of these things so it simply doesn’t work on the modern devices I tested it with.

Don’t waste your time – the price is attractive but if it won’t work what’s the point?

As with the previous two HDMI hubs I have purchased, this one failed after some time. After two or three months I often had to pull the cables and plug them back in again as my screens would go black. If you accidently nudge the device it can take down your displays as well. In the end I tossed it in the garbage because of the frustration it caused my family when I was not home to troubleshoot.
Next time I will spend as much as it takes to get the premium product I am looking for. As a technical specialist, I can not professionally recommend this product but if you are looking for a budget friendly temporary solution it is passable.

The cord itself is too short and hangs from the back of the TV. If used while connected to the TV, which was the intention, I imagine it will actually damage the USB on the TV. Because it dangles and does not reach the console, it looks stupid. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with it…

It’s ok but could be better.
When Chromecast Ultra is plugged in to the switcher it will not broadcast in HDR mode.
A little bit disappointing as I have a UHD TV and Stadia Pro.

I purchased this Jan-17 to use with my 4k TV. Having just purchased my first 4K Blu-ray player to compliment it, I now find like others that it’s not actually compatible. If another device is also plugged into this then the 4K Blu-Ray picture (and sound) cut out every few seconds. Worked fine when I had a standard (not 4k) player and PC plugged into it previously. Now I find that I could have bought a much cheaper one if I’d only wanted that. Disappointing.

Okay, I rarely write reviews, but I felt the need to do so for this product.

First, let me be clear on what I do with it: 720-1080p signals. I don’t use it for 3D, and while I have a 4k television, I haven’t pushed anything through with that resolution.

I bought three of these, and later added one to make four, so that I could have all of my devices hooked up at once. I have yet to notice any difference in picture quality or weird artifacts of any sort. My only gripe with this product is that there isn’t 4-port model.

I’ve read several reviews stating that this product has a relatively high failure rate after some time. I’ve had three of these in use, two of which are daily, for almost a year and haven’t had an issue yet. Given the low price, if one was to break, I’d just replace it (nothing lasts forever, and I’m generally content replacing things after a year or so if I can adequate use out of it). The product is convenient, relatively cheap, and does everything it says it will do. That’s aces in my book.

Edit (April 2021). It’s now been four years of everyday use for two of the four (the other two have video game systems attached that I rarely use) and not one problem.
