It’s fine for what it is. I wouldn’t buy it for someone who hangs all over the podium when speaking because I don’t think it is designed to handle a lot of weight – but that’s not the application this product is intended for anyway. It can certainly handle any book you’d put on it and the adjustable height and feet (for stability) are nice features.

The only thing I liked was the way it looked – the overall appearance. Other than that, it was too expensive, too heavy, and too much trouble to assemble. It did not come with enough wooden screws, and it was impossible to assemble without the aid of an electric drill. I did assemble it and will keep it because they will not take it back since I did assemble it. I do not recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this lectern when I was asked to perform my niece’s wedding ceremony. I assembled myself and am happy with product’s durability. The lectern is a little weighty, but you need that support if you want to lean or place books, etc. without tipping over. Generous lip at edge of table held my binder and cell phone with no problem. It’s portability is outstanding, just shortened the stand with a twist of the nob and into our SUV it went with no problem. For smaller trunks, you can take it apart easily.

I preach from this lectern every Sunday and it gets used for classes throughout the week. I was concerned that the lip to catch paper would be too small, but it’s actually perfect. This is a good lectern and it’s easy to adjust. However, the leveling legs are really not very good without some additional work. The knobs screw into a plastic end. If the knob (floor part) is not screwed all the way in, the plastic end pops out. Thus, you can’t use the ends to level the lectern. I remedied this by using an epoxy to glue the plastic into the frame. Now the leveling screws can move up and down in the end cap without popping it out. It works great now. Also, be aware that every time you adjust the lectern’s hight, you get a little circle cut into the paint by the bolt that holds it in place. It’s to the back to the lectern (if you assemble it correctly) so it’s not much of a concern, but it is a little unsightly and could be a problem if that side of the lectern will be visible (if you were going to use this for a guest sign-in station, for example). Otherwise, it works great.

Being pastor of a new church start, meeting in a club house, I needed a lectern that was sturdy, not easily tipped, adjustable, and portable since it has to be loaded and unloaded into a vehicle every Sunday morning twice. Have been using for a month and have had no problems. The only recommendation I would have is that the lip could be a 1/4 inch higher. But it’s all working as expected.
