This excellent storage unit is ideal for organizing the clutter in our media room that our 4 year old grandson generates. We went for the 24″ high unit over the 36″ high for stability as the kid climbs everything like a little monkey. The unit is easy to assemble but be careful with the orientation of the panels. Keep the groves in the panels toward the back and make sure the plastic inserts face downward. The hardware to join the panels is first rate and the necessary hex wrench is included. The only other tool necessary is a medium sized Philips head screwdriver. The unit does not include the red plastic bins shown in the manufacture’s literature but we found an attractive set of durable fabric storage cubes that fit perfectly for about $21 for 3 from EZOWare in a choice of colors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QH8MC52/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Our wooden storage unit arrived with some dents in the top and I contacted ECR4Kids (www.ecr4kids.com) to request a replacement panel. A representative responded to my email within a day and shipped us an entirely new cabinet at no charge. That’s A+++ customer service!

Really happy with this shelf! Building it was a little challenging as one of the parts was a little wonky (literally the only reason I deducted a star), but with a little help from my husband we were able to make it work. Obviously, don’t overdo it on screwing the screws in too tight, as there’s a risk of splitting the wood like with all wooden furniture. We had no issues with this and made sure not to overdo it. The shelf itself is solid and beautiful. I didn’t use the canisters and have it flat on our carpet. My daughter loves having her toys on display and that she’s able to reach them all. Really pleased with this purchase, and for such a reasonable price. Much sturdier than an IKEA piece, that’s for sure!

Let me start out by saying I purchased 2 of these on Prime Day. I was attracted by the solid plywood construction and simple design.
I have carpentry and fine woodworking skills, but for this price it was tough to beat.
Unfortunately both units I received, despite being well packed showed quality control issues from leaving the factory. Poor alignment, parts packaged wrong, badly warped parts … it was so bad out of 2 units received I could only assemble one from the parts.
Called up maker directly, spoke with customer service explaining the issue and asked if the could send me replacement parts. I was told they couldn’t ship me any parts, and that it wasn’t their problem! Wow. Amazon customer service saved they day once they got involved. Amazon sent me a third unit.
Unfortunately unit 3 also had issues. But I was able to finally build the 2 unit from all the combined components.
These products are mfg. in China and its apparent whomever ECR4 Kids uses for quality control isn’t doing their job.
3 of 3 units each with quality issues isn’t a fluke.
And the company doest stand behind their products or seem to care if the end consumer is satisfied.
Amazons great customer service saved the day.
However I wouldn’t purchase this product again.

I ordered 3 shelves from this company. The two came fine. However when I was trying to assemble the peices together, one of the peice split as the screw was tightened. I was only using a screw driver not a mechanical one. Because shipping it back would mean re-packaging everything I decided to just glue the prices together.

The furniture looks fine, but one of the pieces wasn’t the size that was supposed to be; therefore, impossible to assemble. Also, one of the parts is starting to split without even putting pressure on it.
The vender asked me for pictures of the wrong part. No answer after sending them.
I had to cut the piece myself with a professional tool that my neighbour happens to have.
A bit pricey for having wrong a piece and a part being about to split.

Very sturdy construction. Bought 2 for a daycare center & assembled in less than 1 hour. Exactly the same as sold in daycare supply catalogs.Very satisfied with purchase.

2 Issues:
-The manual shows that there are 12 “G” screws. The instructions show 16 “G” screws being used (4 used in Step 3, 6 used in Step 6, and 6 used in Step 8) (photo attached). It was very inconvenient to not discover this flaw until I was on Step 6 out of 8 and had to unscrew the 4 used in Step 3 and replace them with the 4 “H” screws that were leftover. If you see this review before assembling, REPLACE STEP 3 SCREWS WITH “H” SCREWS.
-There was no way to avoid the wood cracking in Step 6 (photo attached). All I did was screw in the screw, and that’s the result. I saw someone else experienced this issue in a previous review.
With that said, I love the way it looks! It’s very sturdy, and I’m satisfied with my purchase. I would still recommend this shelf unit.
