not nearly 6 inches, I let it rise for over 30 hours (instructions said 24) and it never got over 4.75 inches then when I tried to sleep on it, it went down to about 3 inched. I had to but a 3 inch foam mattress topper to make it barely comfortable to sleep on horrible product and getting it back into the box is impossible so how do you return it?

Really surprised. It’s thin but works. I made my own frame. It’s a luve seat couch. So folding twice a cross the length! Bought for straitening spine. Once sat on it stays in position… Took some weight to stay… So also has good memory for comfort… It basically conforms well… Like futon should flatens out a bit. Cool sleep to… So no foam inside

I bought this for my son’s futon because it was such a great price but you get what you pay for. His futon is metal and there are bars that go across the bottom and you can feel them terribly through the mattress. I will be purchasing a better one.

This mattress looks good and is decently padded but it’s definitely not meant for full-time sleeping. I am using it on the futon that is built-in as the lower bunk of a bunk bed. It gets pretty hard when sitting on it for more than 30-minutes while reading and the little black beads that make the quilts are hard and jab you if you sit on them wrong. That said, sleeping on it isn’t terrible but after several months I am seeing it sag down the sofa back and it’s starting to flatten out a bit. We sit on it nightly to read stories but my son has only slept on it once in all this time so it’s probably going to get replaced before he outgrows the bunk bed.

The mattress seemed fine, and our two dogs lay on the futon all day when they are not playing. One of our dogs started itching within a weeke after we got it, and tore up his skin very badly. We at first could not believe it was the mattress, but tried different foods to see if that was it, but nothing helped. Until we decided to change out the now year old mattress, to see if this really was the problem. Voila! No more itching, it was a miracle after having spent thousands on vet bills and expensive foods. The other dog never had a problem, and otherwise the mattress was ok.

This thing is literally the worst online buy I have bought! Within a week it went from 4 inches to flat and because is so thin I can feel every bar. Even though it says it’s 6 inch it’s most certainly not Because of it being so thin my brand new futon bars are bent in so many places and you fee every had when you sit. I would recommend not buying this.
