I usually get a friend to get these in Florida when they are come home because they are difficult to find in stores. This year I ordered 2, shipped supper fast and I use them when I close up the cottage for the season. Work wonderfully. Absorb moisture and easy disposal. Just pop the lid back on and toss! Leaves the cottage smelling fresh- not must or closed up. Great product!!

I would give this product more stars if the description had been clear on what the “4 Pound” tub contained. For those who are thinking of getting 4 lbs of dessicant flakes you will be disappointed. Half the volume are the flakes, and the other half (bottom) is filled with a cellulose like material that is supposed to help the water from spilling from the tub. I have not accrued enough water to verify this yet but I imagine the material in the bottom half will in fact soak up the water and help prevent some of it from sloshing out (if that is a worry for your particular environment). I would have just preferred more dessicant flakes or a clearer description of the make up of this product.

Came with pre opened and used product, not impressed. Would like a replacement sent today. I have moisture in my basement from flooding and was expecting to be able to use this to help.

Truly dissatisfied with this purchase. It did not live up to it’s reputation. It could be that I am a newbie and do not understand the product. I read the instructions repeatedly to no avail. I apologize for this poor review.

Our basement was starting to smell a little musty and I tried other room deodorizers and plug-ins with no success in freshening up the space. I decided to buy this to give it a try and I am amazed at how quickly the odor dissipated. Our basement is probably 600 to 700 sq ft and I used one tub in the center of the room.

Cheap alternative to a dehumidifier if you don’t want to buy one, just as long as you don’t have extreme humidity issues this should due the trick. Fair warning I believe this doesn’t start working till humidity is around 50% of higher I’ve read. Though truth be told that’s a perk in my book so the air doesn’t get too dry.

I don’t know how I have never heard of this product until recently. I also don’t know what I would do if they ever discontinued it. I have dampness issues in my basement.. it’s a very old house. I will be purchasing each and every type of Damprid I can get my hands on lol.

The three tubs I ordered arrived already exposed to moisture and do not work. There is a layer of rock-hard material right under the white paper cover which prevents absorption from damp areas. I only realized this after it was too late to return the items.

I cannot believe how well this works. Our master suite is around 700sqft (bedroom, walk in closet, wide hall, large bathroom). Since it’s off the kitchen, we keep the door shut because we cook all the time. For whatever reason, our ductwork doesn’t cool it properly and it’s about 10 degrees warmer than the rest of our house. Living in Florida, it’s very humid here, resulting in stale, moist air that smells dank.
Just two hours after opening the tub and placing it in our room, we notuced it smelled fresher and the air felt drier. I am so happy that I just bought 3 more tubs! I got unscented because synthetic fragrances give me migraines and I haven’t had any trouble, however I have an uber strong nose and I smell the charcoal. It’s not bad at all though, and I doubt anyone else smells it. Great product, highly recommended.
