Lids have separate silicone seal that covers entire inside of cap. Food and bacteria can build up underneath. After using you must remove seal and wash lid and seal separate and insure dry before reinstalling. When opening seal balls up and falls into contents.

So far it’s great! As another reviewer stated, there are small nooks and crannies in the jar, so it’s not a quick and easy wash. But I love how it’s perfect for a serving of yogurt! I premake them and keep in the fridge 🙂

I purchased these to keep loose tea in. The jars are great but they came soooooo dirty I could write through all the dirt. I mean wear do you keep these? Must be outside cause nothing can be this dirty if kept inside. Not a great way to send to customers! I had to clean them three times in my dishwasher.
UPDATE Also they do not close tight even if you twist them tight they remain loose so do not expect air tight.

2 stars because the glass is good, but it is in no way leak-proof. False advertising on these. Bought them to warm up milk for baby by putting them in hot water, which was complete failure… water got in, milk leaked everywhere. The lining on the lead came off right away too. If you planing on putting dry items in these, than it’s a good buy, if for liquid, I wouldn’t recommend.

The jars have too many crevices in them that have to be cleaned out. I should just be a smooth straight surface inside. Too muchscrubbing inside to get into the nooks and crannies

I’m so glad I got these. With the circular seal, they don’t leak at all.
I make my own yogurt each week, then store it all in these jars (I have several sets). They are stacked up on the top shelf. We’re a family with 2 adults + 3 teenagers + 1 nine-year-old. No more yogurt going bad in my big yogurt container. All of it gets eaten! Handy for after-school snack, lunches, breakfast, etc. Also good for apple sauce, pudding, and left over sauces.

Bought these for my many strains of marijuana. Theyre great, seal well enough to keep the smell in. But they were dirty like another reviewer mentioned.
Edit: was able to fit exactly half ounce of marijuana in one jar.

I used the jars in the Instant pot to make individual servings of yogurt. The lids would probably warp if they were in the pot on steam. But, everything seems to be dishwasher safe. The jars have not cracked when they were in the pot on the steam function (to pasteurize the milk before making yogurt). I’ve had several small mason jars break in the past so that’s why I wanted to try these jars. I’ll update if anything bad happens!

I use these to make yogurt at home in my Excalibur dehydrator because I don’t have a yogurt maker but I wanted a 6 oz jar and these are perfect. I have 2 sets so I can make another batch of 1 liter before I completely run out. This saves a lot of money on probiotics capsules and I find homemade yogurt more effective than taking the capsules and I don’t even have to eat the whole jar to feel the benefits. Wish I had done this years ago.

I love these little jars, bought 8 and may need to get more. My 9 month old is eating a full jar every meal. I haven’t had any issues with leaking. Not sure why other reviewers care if they come dirty, you’re going to wash them before use anyways. I’ve dropped them and no cracks, the glass is tough. Waaaay easier to clean than my baby bullet containers and don’t have to worry about plastic chemicals leeching into food when heating up or not waiting for food to cool first.

Ordered these as replacements for a lid I’d damaged. On ordering, nothing said the jars were used. Packaging was fine, but the jars were clearly dirty when I opened the box. The jars were also dirty and wet inside. One appeared to have frank mold or dirt inside on the seal. They still seem to be usable; I’m going to wash & sanitize them & see how they come out. But this is disappointing for something used for food. If I can’t get them clean, I’m going to return them & ask for a refund.
