The initial attraction of this machine was aesthetics – small footprint and appliance matching. I was concerned that the vertical loaf would not bake evenly, but decided to give it a try and am glad that I did. Loaves are thoroughly and evenly baked even on the light crust setting. I appreciate the fact that the mixer paddle design is such that about 95% of the time the paddle is left in the pan when a loaf is removed, so no more digging in a hot loaf to remove the paddle. After trying both normal and rapid yeast, have settled on the rapid setting for those recipes that allow it. The best bread machine I have had in 25 years of using bread machines.

I almost committed to the other ‘smallest’ breadmaker on the market, that one is a very popular brand but makes only 1lb loaves even with the machines about the same overall footprint. I also liked that this has more program options, including the gluten-free program.
The size and weight of this is a real plus, that it also does 2lb loaf doughs and has so many options made it the very best choice. It’s stored in a lower cabinet where it gets pulled out every day or two. It takes just 90 minutes to get perfect dough and then it only takes a few minutes to roll out and shape the loaves by hand. So far this little machine has turned out everything I have tried including a few tester loaves of basic white, french and rye made all the way through with the machine. But, (any) machine-made bread is higher moisture, denser and has a thicker crust then I like so I use it now only to make the dough and bake the bread with a pan of water in the oven for a lighter bread with perfect crust. Breadmaking is not as intimidating as I feared all those years and my breads look and taste like the ones from the deli. I’m really enjoying this little machine.

I received my order today and i found that it looked strange, shabby package. I took a look inside the box and found that all manuals and papers were creased, there was missed accessories (measuring cup), fingerprints on the bread maker. I returned it immediately.
But it looked good though, very compact.

Super machine simple a utiliser et fait de beau pains délicieux… Mais bruyant avec quelques sons bizarre. Aucune idée si c’est normal car je suis seul a avoir cette machine dans mon cercle d’amis.

It is fantastic!! Made my first loaf of bread today and it turned out great, now the trick is to not gain weight 🥴🥴

This is the best bread machine we’ve found. We use it a lot and it lasts much longer than other brands that we’ve tried. This new model is more compact and quieter than the previous one. Very happy with this purchase.

Comes in original package box with few damages. Machine looks good. no scratches but missing measuring cup,
and Instruction/Recipe Booklet has a little torn. Looks like this Machine has been opened before. If the machine
will work good, I will keep it, otherwise I will return and exchange it with a different model.

I cannot fully rate this appliance because I have only used it twice. I used it once to make the dough for bread rolls, and then I used it to make a loaf of whole wheat bread. Both times it functioned admirably. My wife liked the fact that it occupies less space than our old machine. It is no more nor less noisy than our previous machine.

This is a quality machine, as I would expect from Cuisinart. it’s attractive, doesn’t take up a lot of room on the counter, and is easy to use.
The machine arrived on time, and properly packaged; I saw no indication that it was a used model as some other reviewers have stated.
However: I bought this machine to replace a Sunbeam bread maker which cost only 20% what this one did, and that I loved! (The Sunbeam “wiggled” off the counter during use and broke, or I’d still have it…and I can’t find another.)
Nonetheless, I trust Cuisinart so decided to spend the extra $400 and get a machine that I was sure would last.
The problem?
Baking times are much too long; leaving the crusts too crunchy and brown for my taste, even on the “light” setting; and the bread itself somewhat dried out from too long in the baking chamber. I’d have returned it but I jumped the gun and threw out the packaging after trying the machine once to be sure it “worked.”
I have “sort of” solved my problem by cooking white bread on the sweet setting, and whole wheat bread on the white setting, to get a reduced baking time. However this isn’t the performance I had expected from a Cuisinart product.
Also, the baking chamber is square, and the slices are too big for my toaster. They stick up about 1.5 inches at the top. If I cut them in half, to get a completely toasted slice of bread, it takes twice as long to get more than one slice of toast at a time….and the slice is then so short that it’s hard to get out of the toaster.
If I ever find another Sunbeam I will replace this thing in a heartbeat, and ship it off the the nearest Value Village.
EDITED ON SEPTEMBER 14:
I have upgraded this to a 4 star from a three, because; I found out that if I use the recipes from the Cuisinart booklet that came with the machine (rather than the ones that came with my old Sunbeam) , it makes a much nicer loaf. Still have to cook a 1.5 lb “whole wheat” loaf on the 1.0 lb. “white” setting, however. Perhaps I am just an unusually “light crust” type of person!
Nonetheless I am much happier than previously.
