Looks good but it will break after about 3 month usage time. I bought probably 6 like these and after they all broke, have decided to just buy a simple juicer.

I cook a lot of Mexican food and I also like the occasional Margarita. That means I get through a lot of limes.
Previously I’ve used one of the reamer style juicers – they work well but they’re messy and you can’t separate out any pips.
The Freshforce Citrus Juicer is better than the reamer – you cut your fruit in half, pop it in the indented cup of the juicer, then squeeze the handles together. The juice falls through perforations in the cup area and all but the smallest pips are held there.
My big worry with this juicer, in advance of receiving it, was whether it would be sturdily constructed. It is. I can’t see it developing any stress breakages on the hinge, or elsewhere, in a long while.
I gave it a proper running in on New Year’s Eve. 30 limes were turned into a litre of lime juice in about 20 minutes, without suffering from an aching arm or sticky fingers.
One caveat – its sturdiness means that it’s not a small item. The arms in particular are quite bulky, so be aware that it will take up quite a bit of cupboard / drawer space.

After reading many reviews on squeezers I decided to splash out. I’m not disappointed this juicer has a good lever action which makes operation much easier for those of us getting on in years. It’s body is made from a high quality hard dishwasher proof plastic with a metal chrome plated squeezer all well made and put together. Great for use with both lemons and limes, ok with small oranges but you need to cut up larger ones. Very handy for cooking when you need that squeeze of lemon.
Worth the money

We make lemonade every morning, so a good juicer is a must have. We did some research before buying this one. America’s Test Kitchen recommends it, after they tried a kinda of juicer. We decided to give it a try.
We love it, and using it every day for about a year. The lemon holder is bigger than many other ones. Most juice comes out from it, and you don’t need to worry if the lemon is too big. The stainless steel parts are still shiny after a year. It easy to use, and we don’t need to spend much time on making lemonade anymore.
It is a pricey juicer compare to many other similar products on the market. It worth the money if you use it a lot like us. It saves us money long term (we don’t need another juicer, and prevent waste of lemon juice), save our time and energy.

Lime and Lemons are central to our most recipes. We need it almost on daily basis. We bought this based on the recommendation from America’s Test Kitchen and we really love it. After using Chef’n FreshForce Citrus Juicer (Lemon) for almost 2 years now, I can say that every kitchen should have this awesome tool. We have used cheaper lime press for long time and now after using this always regret why we didn’t find this earlier.
First thing you notice is this product is extremely well built. The gear mechanism makes pressing and juicing very easy. We had a party at home and we squeezed more than 50 lemons in no time and without having any soar hands. It’s simply FAST and EFFORTLESS. Just cut the lime/lemon in two halves and put the one of the half with the flat side facing down.
After using it for two years now, it still feels like brand new and there is no apparent wear or tear. In last two years my estimate is we have squeezed at least 1000 limes/lemons. The gear mechanism, handles and body is made out of very sturdy plastic and plastic parts are BPA free. The screw and press is made out of stainless steel. Though this is solidly built product, Gear mechanism will eventually wear out and product will require replacement, but I am sure there will be long way before this happens and we will buy this again.
Another thing to like about this press is it is very easy to clean by hands or in the dishwasher. It is dishwasher safe.
CONCLUSION:
Very well made, easy and effortless juicer – Highly Recommended! There is a reason America’s Test Kitchen rates this the number one Lemon Citrus juicer, a distinction well deserved and earned.

Filters pips reasonably good, use of grip reasonably easy, very sturdy and well made. Lemons, cut in half, fit reasonably well but too small for half oranges. Doesn’t squeeze all of the juice, my old style glass squeezer is more efficient in this respect, but not so good at filtering pips, the jury is still out for me on this one

Lemon fits in perfectly whatever the size which is what I wanted. Others too small. It is very sturdy and I am less worried about breaking it. Sometimes however if lemon is too big it might not squirt out all the juice so I cut it up again and extract more. Either way I love it. Easier and faster to use than by hand for sure and will be better for someone who has joint pain issues. Can’t believe I have lemon juice in a matter of seconds! Very handy especially for the amount of lemon juice I need!

Not cheap, but works perfectly!! I used to spend at least an hour trying to squeeze lemons using my bare hands. And I’ll say this much, the cramps that come with it are no fun at all. But not only does this product get the job done, but it’s also easy to use, easy to clean and quality made. You can tell just by the weight alone that it’s not made of cheap flimsy plastic. I also bought the lime juicer so that my kids can join in. Lots of fun and a huge time saver. I highly
Recommend this product.

I purchased this juicer on April 25, 2020 and although it was fairly expensive, I was looking forward to having a juicer that would last. I used this juicer 5 times total and on the fifth time it fell apart in my hands! No extra force, just trying to squeeze half of a lemon…..don’t take the risk and buy this. My return window expired on June 3 so now I am stuck with it and $37 out of pocket! See the pic and you will see the parts that fell apart in my hand, not worth it!!

Great press!
Got a second one after first one broke teeth.
I also have aluminum versions, this one outperforms them all, BUT:
1) it’s made of decent plastic. The teeth are also plastic, which from a sturdiness point of view is the weakest part (and broke on mine).
2) a lot of pressure is and must be exerted on this unit to get all the juice out of lemons. (For oranges, get the bigger one, for limes, get the smaller one, all though this one does and OK job for limes, but is too small for oranges.
3) the arms are long enough, with a sturdy built, yet they still flex a but when fully squeezed. This means there’s always a bit of juice left unless you want to go to the limits of breaking point (which I have passed *snap*)
Either way, it’s a great press, and if anyone from Chef’n is reading this, I’d love to help you redesign this puppy (that’s what I do) because you’re so close to an almost perfect lemon press. Otherwise, I’ll just design a better one and start selling it here 🙂

For most of our lives we’ve suffered from flimsy juice pressers. They break.
When we were on vacations in New Orleans nearly a decade ago, we went to a bar and saw the barman using one of these. It was impressive. The barman told us that he’d bought it himself because it was so much better than the average. We bought one when we got home.
We’ve had if for nine years and it’s excellent. It really makes squeezing lemons and limes easy because it has a long fulcrum and you can apply a lot of pressure on the lemon. It’s very robust which means it’s not likely to break. It’s probably the best kitchen utensil we have.
Of course, it is more expensive than most other squeezers, but you save money over time (no need to replace flimsy models so frequently). However, it is rather large and takes up more cupboard space that simpler models. It’s also easy to clean.

My wife and I had purchased an inexpensive cast zinc citrus press from a dollar store a few years ago, and after a few years of infrequent use, the casting broke around the handle. The crack prevented us from being able to squeeze the lemons and limes as tightly, leaving behind a lot of juice, and also concerning us that the handle could snap at any time.
After doing some searching, I found this citrus press and thought the geared mechanism looked interesting and clever, especially since we have some Fiskar’s garden tools with geared mechanisms that provide incredible force. While the press handles are largely plastic, and pressing head is metal and the tool feel very sturdy. I tried squeezing a lime and was very impressed with the ease with which the press worked and how thoroughly it was able to crush the lime to release the juice.
While it’s nice that Chef’n offers a variety of sizes of these presses for different citrus fruits, I’d recommend just getting the lemon one, and it will still work on limes and smaller oranges.
