I bought this package before going on vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC and used it one day down there before it started showing ‘Err 70’ any time I tried to take a photo. Canon’s service department said that high humidity can sometimes cause an issue with the circuit board. ???? So what you are telling me is that you can’t build a camera that shields sensitive computer-based hardware from airborne moisture?! Thankfully it is still under warranty and it is not going to cost me anything the repair it. But it really sucked not being able to use my camera while on vacation. The rating is not a reflection on the seller at all. They got the camera to me more than a week prior to the estimate provided by Amazon.

This camera system was purchased as a gift for my wife, who has been an avid photographer for most of her life. This was her first SLR camera in 10 years and her first digital SLR. She has been ecstatic in the features. Simple enough for new photographers and plenty of advanced features to meet the needs of all but the finickiest of professionals, this is a great combination of customizable photography and an economical price.

So far I am learning the basics on this camera and it’s very intuitive. The only complaint I have is that the kit came with a wireless remote instead of the plug in remote advertised in the picture. The wireless remote is not compatible with this camera so that is a bummer but as long as my phone is charged I can connect it to the camera and use the cannon app. I will buy a plug in remote soon since it’s something I really wanted.
