Works very effectively

Definitely not a permanent solution to carpets curling or sliding however in my opinion the most effective based on size/cost. I definitely would not trust these to perform on a heavy traffic rug however works great on larger more stationary ones. If you don’t like the squishy feeling of having that mat under the rug as well, these are great. They’re very easy to apply.

I don’t usually write reviews, but felt this warranted one.
I was skeptical at first since they are so sticky, and I was afraid like some guys that they will strip the finish off our hardwood floor, so I tried it in an inconspicuous place first. Guess what, as shown in the picture my worries were completely uncalled-for and these came off without any residue. However, you’d better pull the plastic board up slowly, or you will break it off just like I did. Anyway, the broken one still works.
Overall, these may not be high-tech products, but get the job done. Highly recommend it.

These do not stick to the carpet as well as they stick to the floor. My carpets have come off of it many times and gone lopsided. If your going to be moving or lifting up your carpet often or wanting to clean the floors under the carpet dont get these cause they are impossible to take off the floor. I had to use a butter knife to get under it and peel it off the floor.
Otherwise they do work just not for me. It might be better on a big area rug that you arent going to be lifting up too often. As i used them for my hallway runners

I was worried about these damaging my hardwood but they do not. I lift them up for cleaning and then re-stick. They keep the rug in place, no curling corners, no sliding around. Can’t recommend them enough! They may eventually loose their stickiness but so far I’ve had them several months and they are still sticky, so if I eventually have to replace them I’m ok with that given the price. They are also super strong they are difficult to get up when I try.

Didn’t work well for one of my rug, not strong enough to hold it flat

Designed to stick to floor and carpet which I hadn’t realized so I’m now worried about residue on the hardwood floor. Also started curling up already and isn’t sticking any more.

Tried to attach a rug to wood tiles on my balcony
They were useless

Installed in moments and have worked great ever since.

I am buying more of these. I am elderly and have to be very careful about tripping and falling. Especially dangerous are rugs and the edges of carpets. My son helped me with these to secure the corners of an 8×10 with a pad under it. We used them as follows. Two corners of the carpet were under furniture, so currently are secure enough. We used two corners to secure the pad to the floor. The pad was slightly smaller than the rug, so we then used two corners to secure the rug to the floor also. The rug is secured tightly to the floor, so I think next time we will not need the corners under the pad. These are wonderful and could very well be a life saver! One question: What was the inspiration for naming them ‘Bower bird’? Is your company in New Zealand? Or is it the idea of fixing up the nest? Very interesting name. Congratulations on an excellent and necessary product!

I purchasef one to try. I bought a second shortly thereafter. Yes, that does mean this product is very good.
I used the first on two entry mats. As they are by nature small I simply used four pieces on each mat. I placed one on each corner diagonally to form a triangular effect at each corner: the carpet corner formed two sides of the triangle and the mount formed the longer edge.
The result? Those mats are not going to move even a fraction of an inch from their designated location.
Very highly recommend product.
By the way, both mats are on tile.

They held well for 8 months, but they are only a one-time stick deal. Once we repositioned the rug, they didn’t hold. You also need all 8 for a single rug, maybe more for a long span that gets side to side traffic. Our hallway runner started to stray in less than a year. I will likely rebuy two sets to re-stick the 9′ x 2′ runner.
Updating review to include how well it worked for our thin Dash and Albert cotton runner. Was able to vacuum over the top without it coming detached.
