I bought these to replace a rubber seal that had worn out after many months of coffee making.

The seals will easily last 6 months of regular use, so long as you look after, and clean them, well. Better still, you get three in the pack, so definitely value for money.

It is important to know the size of your stovetop coffee pot before ordering; this is not a one size fits all product. Also, buyers who require frustration-free packaging should be aware that the product is delivered in hard plastic. I needed scissors to open the pack.

I’ve tried the cheaper, unbranded alternatives in the past. My advice – spend the extra pound and buy the Bialetti. Currently retailing in the vicinity of £5, it’s little more than the price of a coffee on the high street, and worth every penny.

I bought a original replacement Gaskets for My Bialetti Moka Express, the set it came with Alum. screen filter all stuffs fit 100% to my moka express. Price is reasonable just place an order on the Amazon and they ship it to my home directly no need to spend time to looking around. very good brand have all the replacement kit and easy to get it. I recommend anyone who has a Bialetti Moka Express should be keep one for the future.

Produit tel qu’annoncé, joints étanches. Le package devrait se vendre à moindre coût sans la grille car ce n’était pas un besoin, seulement les joints.

I have an unidentifiable genuine Bialetti “6” cup ( 1 MUG, I have a serious habit … ) stainless moka pot, that is at least 15 years old. It doesn’t match any of the 100s of online pictures that I’ve looked at. The RUBBER gasket originally fitted eventually deteriorated to the extent that the pressurized liquid was seeping out from the screw join, and wasn’t retaining the perforated filter plate properly. Careful, workshop, measurement showed that I needed an outside diameter of 71 mm, and an ID of 56. Some sellers had these listed but unavailable. Some that had them were asking a huge price, and their descriptions were suspect.

I bought this product because there were three gaskets, it came with a replacement filter plate, and was fractionally oversize. It was the correct material for a stainless pot, being rubber rather than silicone. Having three gaskets gave me the opportunity to “have another go” if my first attempt at trimming down the gasket to size didn’t work. Having the correct filter plate for these gaskets meant that I could simply use that plate, and not have to modify the inner hole which would have been much harder. VERY careful trimming with sharp scissors (it took quite a time, and a steady hand) resulted in success on the first attempt, and I have two spares for the future.

If you have an odd sized Moka pot that needs a new gasket, consider this option. It worked for me. Mugs of coffee again.

The rubber seal on my Alicia EMK6 was detariorating and so I got this.
The seal in this are different, stiffer but works.
The filter screen on the other hand is VERY different. On my Alicia the screen is smooth on both side but on this one one of the side is rough. You can feel the metal bend around the holes when they punched it. I don’t know exactly why but my coffee is taste very different now, I use a very dark roast from Perou and with this filter and seal there’s a very big cigar smell. The kind of cigar you grandpa used to smoke, a chocolaty smoaky smell that you can taste as well.

Very strange, I tried canging he seal back to the originale and the new smell stayed there and if I put back the old filter it’s gone. I can’t explain it.

And as a side note I tried the silicone seal and they don’t work on the Alicia, the inner hole is slithgly bigger which gives room to the ring to move and thus does not create a good seal all the time.

All in all a good buy.
Now if my Alicia water reservoir didn’t start to very badly oxydize and give a very strange taste to the coffee I would still be using it.

I had an older Bailetti unit which I could not use as the gasket was too old and stiff. The replacement part fit perfectly and I can now have my expresso again.

The unit failed twice in the same way. First time thought hummm. Second time took these photo of failed and new unit. The filter material is less strong in these replacement units even though they are by original manufacturer. When the filter fails it tears a large seam opening and the hot grounds blow up the chimney and out under the lid creating a mess and a hazard. Definitely should be withdrawn from market until improved strength. The original part was fine for years, the replacements fail catastrophically in months.

The hardest part is getting the right size. By 6-cup they mean 300mL or 6 50mL espresso cups.

The surest way to know if yours is a 6-cup model is to fill the reservoir to the pressure valve and pour it out into a measuring cup. If it comes out to ~300mL, then your is the 6-cup.

Wish it came with more seals. But pickers can’t be choosers. It is the original Bialetti product so it fits perfectly and functions as intended.

What a pleasant surprise. The Bialetti mokka has been such a great companion for the last 4 years. It’s only now that it was in strong need of a new gasket and I was really worried I would have to buy a new coffee maker. No need to worry as Bialetti has you covered with all the replacement parts you need. The gasket fits perfectly once you remove the (remnants of) the previous one. I did this by prying it off with a blunt knife, and then washing off the last bits with a dishes scrub. Once done, you have the choice of either replacing the filter, or trying to wash it off (which I did). This is great, as again, the manufacturer does not force you into replacing any additional parts than those that are no longer functional.

I am so in love with my Mokka and I bet this gaskets will give it at least another 10 years of daily use. Well done Bialetti, you designed these things incredibly well, and one can really tell.

My 40 year old pot finally needed a new gasket and, as no one had told me during those 40 years that it should be replaced before this happened, it hasn’t been. The new one fits perfectly and we are now set for another 40 years of wonderful coffee. 🙂

Works great for us. It’s inevitable you’ll have to change out these seals every once in a while. I try to clean out the ground coffee as much as I can from the seal but never seem to be able to get it 100%.

I bought this with some trepidation due to some of the lower starred reviews. I have a 6 cup Bialetti Mokka and even went on the Bialetti website to check the exact sizing of the new gasket (since the old one had perished so badly and couldn’t be measured.

I can only assume that Bialetti have updated their coffee makers and not been faithful to the dimensions of the older ones (mine is probably around 8 years old). The new gasket is not a particularly snug fit but I had hoped that screwing the top down tight enough would solve the problem of a poor seal. Two attempts in and the water simply isn’t finding it’s way through the filter. The Mokka just spits and bubbles (like it does when the process has completed) but only a few drips of coffee have found their way into the top pot.

This has been a disaster for me and I am now resigned to buying a new pot. There is no point in trying alternative gaskets. If the Bialetti ones don’t fit, there really isn’t much of an alternative.

If you have a newish pot and this is your first seal replacement, you will probably be ok. But older pot owners, please beware…..
