It keeps my grandson snug and sleeps better for longer periods at a time he loves it I can sneak away because of the weight so he thinks I’m still there holding him

We ordered these for our two daughters and son (daughters sleep in the same bed). Our daughters have a hard time sleeping and staying in bed, so we figured we would try a weighted blanket.
The girls love theirs, they have slept with it every night thus far. However our 3 year old still gets up and crawls in bed with us. (Probably just a phase)
The material these are made of our actually pretty soft without a duvet cover, although we are debating getting one for both. The quality is great, and the areas where a duvet would be tied to it are well sewn and nicely done.
We haven’t had to clean these yet, so we will update at a later date when we need to wash as well as how they’ve held up.

I love how it is sewn into squares to help distribute the glass beads throughout the blanket, BUT my son will say that it feels heavier down by his feet verses up on his chest area.
Instantly made me feel relaxed when I tried it. Like melting into the mattress! Definitely recommend this blanket!

I purchased this blanket for a friend’s, young child.
Why?
The story is common in this day and age: two people fall “in lust” and rush head-long into a relationship. After several years, or perhaps a life-event that is devastating, or for a million other reasons, a marriage falls apart. Children always suffer the most and her child was suffering from anxiety – due to the divorce – that made it difficult to sleep soundly. In the past, I had read articles about thunder shirts for dogs and how they helped calm anxious canines. We are not so different than our four-legged friends and I reasoned that a weighted blanket might be able to help. Her child is how getting a good night’s sleep. While a weighted blanket is not a metaphorical magic wand to solve anxiety, it can help solve the issue of anxiety-based insomnia that keeps many awake at night. Having access to a natural alternative to help with insomnia is essential for children since it is extremely unwise to give them prescription medications and supplements. My friend and her child are both happy because now they both get a good night’s rest.

My 9 year old wanted this blanket for her birthday and it is perfect. I was worried the 10lb weight would be too heavy for her, but it is perfect. She sleeps under it every night and is getting the best sleep- she tells us daily! My husband borrowed it and promptly fell asleep on the couch- now he wants one. The size is clearly written in the description but it ended up being a bit smaller than I thought. Definitely a “personal” blanket- not twin sized. No fault of the seller- again it was clearly written. But it works perfectly for us!

If you have a little one, with sensory processing disorder this is something every parent should try for they child. I held off on getting a weighted blanket, I couldnt ever sleep with one myself and was skeptical. When i seen my son, use multiple blankets to wrap himself tightly and still search for the desired effect/ pressue he was searching for to self sooth and for comfort.
It is true to size but i do wish it was wider. He looks so relaxed when he is covered in it and loves of the glass beads keep him cool in the hot hot summer. This was clearly a problem when burying himself in 5 comforters. I myself could never sleep with a 10 pound blanket. But for him, it brings absoult comfort and relaxation. I will always buy him one as he grows through life.

My order came today! I’ve so been looking forward to it!!
I wanted to order a larger size to fit our queen, but I wasn’t sure if my husband would like it so I ordered this small/personal sized one as a “tryout”.
Online recommendations said to use one that’s heavy as 10% of your body weight, another said people who weigh 98-146lb should use a 10/12lb weighted blanket. I bounce around 110lb.
It’s soft, looks like good quality, shipping was quick, packaging was good too. However it just doesn’t quite feel heavy enough to me, not yet anyway. Maybe it will tonight after I get ready for bed and my body relaxes underneath it.
At this time I’m hoping to order a heavier weighted blanket and give this one to my son.

This blanket is long but not wide. My child moves around a lot when he sleeps and easily “escapes” the blanket during the night so I’m not sure it is all that helpful. When you purchase, make sure the blanket fits the entire width of your child’s bed and even hangs over the sides a bit.

Love this! It is the perfect size for my 8 year old son. It isn’t exactly easy to clean, but I didn’t expect it to be. I made a cover for it to keep from needing to wash the blanket itself. It is breathable and comfortable. I have had to wake my son up every morning since he began using this blanket. He is sleeping so much more deeply and peacefully. I definatley recommend it.
