People may frown about its lack of stability and sturdiness in outdoor or windy environments.
In that case, if you are not satisfied you should invest more and buy some professional grade product.
But at this price (800/-) the quality of this tripod is unbeatable. You can’t find a better tripod at this price.
    Pros-
✔️Looks good and professional, and the color is awesome
✔️Functioning has no issues, all screws and movements are smooth and working properly
    ✔️Height is sufficient
✔️No issues with stability in the room, or on the terrace( given it’s not much windy)
✔️Very lightweight so easy to carry
✔️Built is sturdy, I have been using it for 10 months. No issues whatsoever.
✔️it can easily handle my Handycam and smartphone, it’s not for heavy DSLRs.
✔️it comes with a small carry bag, that’s very useful.

    Cons-
❌ Not sturdy enough to be used outdoors.
❌If you intend to use your phone with it, you need to buy a mobile phone holder separately

BOTTOM LINE: If you are a beginner and want to use it mostly indoor and don’t want to spend much. It’s the deal you want. But not for outdoor photography and professional purposes.

    I’m SVK.

If i could give it more stars i would .I already spent too much money on my son for Chritmas so when he said he really needed a tripod i told him it would have to be a cheap one.I bought this one expecting low quality but useful .Wow was i wrong .Not only is it sturdy and well built the features are the same and even better than the one he wanted at 4× the price When he opened it he thought i had lied and tricked him into thinking i was buying him a cheap one .It’s light to carry and yet has every feature we needed. Not only would I recommend but i am going to be buying more to donate to my sons highschool for their media program since he says theirs are not even half the quality as his.

I was very indecisive about buying this product after reading reviews about how it’s poorly made. I was afraid it wouldn’t be able to hold my canon t3i, but for the price I said why not and so far I’m loving it! I also love the fact that it comes with its own bag. Does the job, it’s nothing fancy(which I didn’t really care for anyways). Definitely would recommend this to my friends!!

This is a great tripod, especially for beginner photographers. It’s ridiculously cheap and Amazon Prime members get a further discount since it’s an Amazon branded product. I’ve been testing it with my Samsung NX2000 and it’s easy to use and set up. I wish the panning and tilting were smoother, but then again this is a cheap tripod. It collapses into a small compact tripod that can be carried around easily, and can also be extended to a large 5 foot tripod.

    What’s good about this product?
☑ PRICE: Like most Amazon branded items, this one is a steal at the price. Plus you get a discount if you are a Prime member.
☑ EASE OF USE: Quick and easy to set up and attach the camera to it.
☑ PORTABLE: It can extend up to 5-feet, and it can also collapse and fit i side a small carrying bag (included with the tripod).

    What’s bad about this product?
⚠ PAN/TILT: The pan/tilt handle is not that smooth when filming video. It’s better than holding it on your hand, but moving the handle causes the tripod to jolt a little.
⚠ BUILD QUALITY: There are several handles and screws to adjust different things on this tripod, but they feel like they are built with very cheap plastic, which makes sense due to the price. I haven’t had any issues with anything so far, but I am still being careful, especially with the handle.

This is my first ever tripod. I have a simple Sony cybershot camera. My camera easily fits on it. This tripod extends to a very good height. I bought it specifically so that we don’t have to ask for strangers to click the pics. Also, the main reason is to use it to take pics and videos of Northern Lights in Iceland. This tripod will surely provide me non-shake pics and videos, which is a key to operate the camera at night.
I am quite happy with it.
The only thing is it is a little bit wobbly. I think it will struggle a little bit if the camera is heavy. But for my light weighted camera its serves the purpose.

    2nd Review in Mar 2019
2nd Review after 3+ years since I purchased it
It is just an update to my previous review including pics and a video.

After 3+ years of its fairly regular use, I could not find any changes to my first review. There is no additional downside. The plus point would be that despite its regular use there is no noticeable wear and tear. Its functionality is still the same. I will stick to my 4 stars for it.

EDIT: I returned the first one and ordered another one and, again, SCRATCHED ALL OVER. SO DISAPPOINTED.

I ordered this on Amazon less than two weeks ago. I was really excited for it and, as soon as I got it, opened up the box and took it out of the case. Unfortunately, I realized that this product had very clearly already been used before.

It was scratched all over, from the handlebar all the way to the legs. It was very annoying and I had to return it the next day.

I took a lot of photos that I’ll be posting later once I go home, but just wanted to say that I was very disappointed. Especially since I’ve purchased Amazon Basics products before without an issue.

The two stars is because Amazon accepted the return immediately and the product was alright in terms of actual functionality.

If you plan to video anything requiring left/right panning (live sports in my case) this tripod is useless. The mechanism which controls the panning is so stiff, even when loosened completely, that when trying to pan the tripod just pushes over. Your only chance of panning is if you pan the camera with one hand and firmly hold the tripod in place with the other, so as to stop it from tipping over. Even then it’s so stiff as to make the video jerky when you start to pan and of course doing this means you don’t have a free hand for zooming in/out.
At first I thought I bought a lemon so I returned it in exchange for a replacement but the second one did the exact same thing.
For still photography or tilting up and down it’s fine, but if you need to pan left/right it’s a deal breaker and you should steer clear of this one.

I bought this more than a year ago, and the quality is amazing! I’ve used it frequently, and it still is in perfect condition. It comes in a small bag with a handle that allows you to carry it on the shoulder easily! It has two extention options, as the legs extend twice, however, you can fix the right height you need with the leg locks, which I found very useful, as you can get any height you require (to a maximum of 60″/152.4cm). It is really lightweight, compact and easy to carry around. I attached my camera to it with ease, and it was very easy to set most of the required angles. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something very compact and value for money!

It’s portable – but it’s also very cheap. “Lightweight” pretty much means cheaply built. That being said, it’s fine for use with a phone or a gopro or smaller cameras, but if you’re looking to put things like a LED panel, or heavier DSLR’s on this tripod – don’t! It’s not sturdy enough.

I like that it comes with a carrying case, so it makes it easy to travel with it if you like taking photos and videos when travelling, but for 10 dollars or more, you can get a Polaroid tripod which is built a lot better and is also portable with a carrying bag.

This is my first camera tripod. I was hesitant at first since I will mainly use this for travel video and picture taking purpose. But after receiving the product, I am really impressed. As written on description, this product is lightweight and sturdy. So one can easily use this for outdoor shoots. Also, the camera head movement us pretty smooth. The product is no doubt user friendly but ir would have been better to supplt a mini user manual for beginners.
I will do an update here after shooting some outdoor pictures in my upcoming trip.

When I got this in the mail it was heavier than I expected. For a price tag of C$35, this blew my mind. I don’t think the wind will blow it over. It definitely helps with my YouTube videos. I think anyone who buys this product with low expectations will be quite surprised. Don’t judge it until you get it, it is awesome. And the build is just superb. Better than I definitely expected. I take that any day.

Overall this tripod will probably do the trick. But it’s definitely not a professional grade product… or even remotely close. At best it will hold your camera up. It’s very plasticky, all the hinges are stiff and not smooth at all (uneven feeling as hinges rotate). There is play in many of the hinges even when locked down, especially the right/left rotation. While you can lock down the rotation, it tends to rotate on the lower half, seemingly just due to bad design/quality. If you need a second tripod or are not an enthusiast in any way, this might be good enough to hold the camera for the odd family event here or there. Otherwise, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

If you’re looking for a P.o.S product from Amazon, look no further. After using it 2 times, a part of the tripod mount broke off when it was mounted on to my camera. This caused more cosmetic damage to my camera than a $30 tripod would ever cost. If you’re looking for a dirt cheap product with dirt cheap quality, invest in this tripod! FU Amazon.
