The probe worked great for 4 bbq sessions. I followed the operating and probe washing instructions every session. Now 20 seconds after inserting the probe into the cold steak I just took out of the frig it reads it at 350 F and the alarm goes off! It lasted only a week despite following their manual instructions. Useless probe.

As seen in my video, probe is hanging in ambient temperature while it’s showing 160 degrees fahrenheit. Can’t believe my room is getting SO HOT!
This is the inaccuracy you can expect after less than 4 months of light use. Contacted the manufacturer for a warranty replacement and tried to follow up multiple times for the past month, yet they have provided no response. I understood there may have been an issue in supply chain/shipping due to the pandemic, but not responding to *act* like you care about your customers is not acceptable. Its horrible customer service is on par with Dell.ca, from whom my monitor just arrived today after ordering 3 months ago.
Good luck to you all the real buyers out there (and i didn’t mean it to the promoters who receive a free product or commissions).
P.S their online system / contact form is also not functioning. Asked me to upload proof but got errors for uploading a 500kb jpeg.

First off let me say the seller was very accurate on the description of the product, It was well packed when I received it so I didn’t worry about it breaking in transit, the seller was very good in shipping it right away, they said 2 days shipping, and that’s what I got, it was here in 2 days, I couldn’t wait to open it and check it out, Believe me You get what you pay for, it works amazing, I cook a lot and I use a BBQ a lot also this thermometer is perfect for every use, one amazing thing is the back light, that will come in handy so much outside, As for the seller of this product I give him a 2 thumbs up for selling a great product at a great price!!!!

I’m very happy with this ThermoPro because it’s easy to use. I like the preset temperature settings, but I also like how easy it is to set my own settings. I’ve used it when air-frying steaks to medium rare, and most recently I’ve used it while making yogurt. I like to stir the milk at different intervals, and this Thermometer beeps at when the temperature reaches the set time I entered. I do recommend this one for the value, the features, the convenience, and the price.

There’s not much point in paying $28 for a digital probe with pre-settings that are not accurate and you have to make temperature and time adjustments to get correct cooking. Well done setting 170 degrees leaves meat inside pink. Our cheap manual thermometer probe does just the same job. Very disappointed as it was a gift. Returned for refund.

it worked perfect on the manual setting. the auto temps for rare are higher than “rare” should be because cooking beef to less than 145 degrees is considered unsafe. that being said, it hit 125 on the mark and double checked with the therma pen. nice and handy in the kitchen. no more poking the meat in the oven randomly.

First time I used this thermometer I ruined a beautiful 1 1/2 inch Porterhouse on a gas grill. Had the probe inserted directly in the center per the instructions and it kept reading 74 degrees. After a while I said to myself: this isn’t right as it was taking way too long… Used my old instant read stick thermometer and sure enough the center was over 140 degrees. I tried it again in the oven for a reverse sear and this time it worked fine. Learning from my first mistake, I only use my old stick thermometer for the final sear in the iron skillet as this thing doesn’t seem to work well when you need a quick reading and it’s easy to overcook the meat if you are shooting for that perfect 130 degrees medium rare sweet spot.
UPDATE: now it won’t turn off unless I remove the battery.

I initially bought a TP-15, as I’ve been getting into the “reverse sear” method of cooking steaks. So the TP-15 worked great, it was quick, easy to read, and a good value. The lady who cleans my house was also interested in learning how to prepare meat this way, so I decided to give her my TP-15 and upgrade to the TP-16S, because I really liked the fact that I could leave the probe in and shut the oven door. You’re slow cooking the steak at 250 degrees to reach your desired internal temperature (in my case 130 degrees), so the fact that I didn’t have to keep opening the oven door seemed like a great plan. So she comes over, I’ve got a 12 oz filet, coated with sea salt and pepper on both sides, I get it to room temp and we put it in. once it hits 127-128, you pull that sucker out and then do your searing in a cast-iron skillet (you can search the web for specific instructions). It worked perfectly, and while we were going to split the steak and she’d go home with her 6 oz., she ended up eating the whole thing while she was here! So she’s happy with her TP-15 (with the 3-year extended warranty), and I’m happy with my TP-16S (with the extended 3-year warranty)! I can’t wait to tackle a standing rib roast for the next holiday with this thermometer. I will recommend it to everyone but my ex-wife!!

It’s a good thermometer but a little hard to use. Selecting a picture of the meat type and then setting the temperature is cumbersome and confusing. I think I prefer a simpler one where I just set the desired temp and go. Also, I wish there was a good way to store the cord on the unit- a place to wrap it nicely.
I like that it’s magnetic and has a lighted display. I believe it’s accurate with the temperature. Probably wouldn’t buy this one again.

The first two uses worked perfectly.
Third use, the meat selection button would not work, so desired temperature had to be chosen by adding or subtracting from the temperature that appeared. Ie., meat chosen appears as chicken, whereas I want beef, and when I press the selection button, it just stays on chicken so I have to put the desired temperature down manually.
Fourth use, the meat selection button allowed me to choose the meat I wanted.
Fifth and subsequent uses, the meat selection button will not work, so I have to adjust manually from whatever temperature appears when thermometer is turned on.
It’s not a huge deal, but it is irritating as cheaper models never gave me this problem.
Other than that, it appears to work well.

Below is my original review but since then the company has replaced the defective one with a new functioning one that I really like. (original review should have said “165 degrees and 161 degrees”)——-> I cooked some chicken and checked the temp with this thermometer and my trusted instant thermometer. This unit read 65 degrees and it beeped but my other thermometer read 61 degrees. I then put this unit’s probe into a glass of ice water and it read 36 degrees F when it is supposed to read 32 degrees F. There is no reset button and the manufacturer has said to someone on utube that there is no way to calibrate it. I am returning it (Amazon is taking it back) and looking for one that can be calibrated…..live and learn. Thanks and have a great day.

Got this to replace our first one that died after a few months of use.
Worked great for a week…. and then stopped working.

In general this thermometer isn’t bad but there are a few things that I wish were different about it. The on/off button is on the back of the device, so if you have it attached to something with the magnets you need to take it off to turn it on and off. Would have liked to see the button on the front or top so I can leave my thermometer on the fridge.
The on/off button also shares the operation of changing the device from Celsius and Fereinheit. Depending on how long you press it you could either be turning it off or changing the setting. I find it annoying personally. Wish it wasn’t the same button.
