The color of the red isn’t as deep and rich as the pictures would have you believe… that being said, it is still a lovely addition to our modern red and white kitchen and it does what it is supposed to do.

I bought this because I usually use saffron in my cooking and my old one was damaged. It does the job perfectly. It’s chunky and not small. I haven’t washed it in dishwasher, so I cannot say anything in this regard. The look is beautiful. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

I should of read the description better as I was a bit shocked how large this is.
It’s pretty heavy for it’s size too.
It’s a great pestle and mortar with a nice rubber base that keeps it in place when using.
It cleans well too.
Just don’t drop it as it’ll probably smash (or break your foot)

Love this product. The design of the bowl means it doesn’t slip and the grip on the handle makes it so easy to use. Obviously designed by people who actually use it! It was really well packaged and arrived on time.

Got this in January 2021, was super excited about it and how sturdy it felt and how well it performed as a mortar and pestle… Until Jul 4, when my husband was grinding up some herbs, like normal, and the bottom fell off the mortar. Would not recommend this item and will not be buying again, unless the seller wants to send me a replacement and then I will happily add to this review.

I really like how easily the silicone cleans. Also, after cleaning, no odour is left behind (such as garlic). It’s nice how it’s designed with form and function in mind; that is, the porcelain stone is a classic design feature and the silicone is very practical for use and cleaning.

Having used and had virtually every type of mortar & pestle, whether made from stone, marble, wood, glass, available, this one takes the cake. Absolutely beautiful. Solid. Heavy. Virtually immovable. I was tempted to get one of metal after one of my favourites, a 30 year old marble mortar broke. And truthfully, I did ponder a bit on my final selection because I didn’t think that one this inexpensive could be that good.
So far, I have used it nearly every day for the past month. And I would get another if needed. Understanding that nothing is unbreakable.

I have only used it once since receiving it but so far it’s fantastic. I used it to grind sage with and it did a wonderful job. It was a lot easier to clean than my other porcelain set. The silicone is a great feature and the weight is perfect. I am very happy with my purchase.

Very sturdy and great quality. Bought the porcelain version as it’s for our wedding anniversary. Wife loves it and it’s useful for our cooking. The rubber stand is a good idea. Looks great on the kitchen worktop too. Would recommend to others.

During lockdown I discovered a renewed interest in cooking and baking. I decided it was time to invest in a pestle and mortar and, after checking out numerous others, I opted for this one.
For me, it is the perfect size for crushing herbs and spices and is sturdy and well made. It is very reasonably priced and, in my opinion, is well worth the money.

This M&P set is a handy size – it holds about 1 cup and will fit into a drawer. It is quite heavy, and has a removable silicone ring on the bottom that keeps it from sliding around in use. Construction quality is mediocre – my set arrived with several flaws in the porcelain, particularly on the pestle. I ground some of them out with a diamond stone rather than going through the laborious process of return/refund.

The size was just right and loved the silicone non slip bottom and on the handle. Makes it so much easier to use, especially if you have an issue with your hands.
