Bought this on 5 July – clip broke on 25 July after 3 charges- the plastic of the tiny hole surrounding the metal spindle just broke off. This is what happened to my last one but at least it lasted 4 years . This is a serious design fault of this charger. I shall try to return it but very disappointed

This is exactly what I needed, but I wish I hadn’t needed it. The Garmin charging device needs a rethink! The clip on spring idea seems to break easily ( see other reviews) and is not easy to replace through retailers or even the Garmin website..thank goodness for Amazon! Garmin, the spots are hard to align to make sure you are getting a charge, and I wonder why you couldn’t use a plug in charger like a small USB. I am no techie, but this needs a redesign..

The replacement is great. Too bad a replacement was needed. There is definitely something wrong with the originall design concept of the watch. Amazon’s service was amazing. The package arrived even sooner than they said it would!

I bought this after accidentally breaking my partner’s other one. He’d asked at the golf shop and they only stocked chargers for the Garmin2. I spotted this and got it. My partner was very sceptical that it would work, so he was very pleased when it arrived and was exactly the same as the one I’d broken. It works perfectly with the Garmin 1 watch. I purchased it with standard delivery and it arrived the next day! One very happy partner = happy me. Lol Would definitely recommend.

The charging clip that came with the watch soon broke without any abuse. Tried to Gerry rig a solution but eventually that got old. Hated paying Garmin to buy another replacement and thereby rewarding them for their poor product. Hope this one lasts, won’t be getting another one.

I had to send this clip back as it is not compatible for Garmin Forerunner 220, which does have 4 pins but the pins on the Forerunner 220 are not configured the same as the 4 pins on this charging clip. The product description should list which devices it is compatible with and there should be another picture of it showing the close-up detail of the pin configuration. This is the first time that I have ever had to return something to Amazon and I have to say that they make returns very easy.
