This might be the worst cassette player I have ever owned and that is saying a lot. Out of the box, the hamilton buhl’s microphone did not work. The rewind and fast forward are poorly calibrated and will surely eat a tape with any regular use.
I am pretty sure I saw this exact cassette player make a cameo in the netflix doc “The Pharmacist” when they play a recorded phonecall. It took me right out of it because there is NO WAY that this thing would be up to task. It is a shame you cant buy a decent new cassette deck.

wasn’t too bad for what it is. I like the extra modern features but in the end it was just too expensive for what it is (and isn’t) and I just got a boombox instead

,seems very well made,,,,easy to use, dislikes out of the box barley recorded a couple of minutes , internal or external mike,,was going to send it back but i took electronics years ago,,so took it apart and reset the lever which pushes the the record and play back switch,,,works great now ,would i get another one,,yes,,,

As soon as i plugged in it briefly showed a power light and then it went down. It comes with a US power pin and not an Indian power plug. I am at absolute loss.
