I will never buy Roko again .I have a Roko account with my tv have had great luck.I bought the fire stick when it was time to set up.The instructions informed me to contact help.I did they explained since I have an existing account I need to upgrade to have another Roko product to use the fee is 100.00 .Under any circumstances it does not disclose this anywhere. My suggestion move on to a different product,For Roko you need to disclose this poor poor customer retention 😡😡😡😡
Amazon Customer –
Took forever to set up, called customer service, and they kept insisting it was a one time fee of $125, total scam

Okay, so I’m Canadian and purchased this device because it was realistically the cheapest option in order to stream Disney plus.
It took me 15 mins to get it from unboxed to set up my google play, prime, netflix, YouTube, Spotify and Disney+, I’m struggling to want anything else. So I feel the variety of options is there.
No buffering either so far.

Came yesterday, had it set up within 30 minutes. Exactly what I wanted (access to Netflix/Disney+ from my regular (not a smart) tv).
Really not sure what the other reviews are talking about some sort of activation fee. It even says in the pamphlet provided in the box that Roku doesn’t require an activation fee and to beware of scammers! (See picture)
Also, the apps are just a simple download. No fee to download the apps onto the Roku device. I read some reviews before purchasing and was a bit confused. The only fee you need to pay is your monthly/year subscription to Netflix, etc, etc. So for me, I already had a Netflix & Disney+ account. I downloaded the apps on Roku, signed in, and was immediately able to watch whatever I wanted. No $1.99 (for example) fee to purchase the apps to be able to access them.

This product basically makes your tv into a “smart” tv. If you a smart tv, Xbox, PlayStation, etc. This is not the product for you. I have Netflix and Prime TV and I found nothing on the “free” channels that was worth to watch. There was no new content only old TV shows and movies. The free live TV is basically the funny or die YouTube page. It’s not as advertised. The only reason I am not returning it is because it wasn’t expensive and I will put it on a TV in the garage that doesn’t have access to Netflix/Amazon Prime.

It’s hard to believe that this small box allows access to so many apps. It allows us to access all the streaming apps we use with just this one box.
Included is a decent remote, HDMI cord and power supply.

After two months of use, we finally pulled the plug on the roku. I bought this with the intention of using the roku to stream music (Spotify) and Disney plus. Spotify seemed to work fine, but streaming Disney plus work about thirty percent of the time. Constant buffering issues and not connecting to the wifi signal even when the signal was fine was extremely frustrating. This may not be the fault of the device as much as I was possibly asking it to do too much. The user interface seemed dated and clunk and the remote was as well. The reputation and suggestions from family was what initially sold me on the product, but do some research of the various models before ordering. I now have a fire stick and it seems to be working better.

My only wish is that I could get crave on it then I would only need one device instead of 2 but otherwise it works really well. On my 4K tv the picture is outstanding and set up was a breeze, I never had to pay any fees outside of the individual streaming services. I honestly prefer this over the amazon stick as there is no annoying buzzing noise. It’s a great Apple TV box Alternative.
