The speaker itself is really loud. As you can see in the video, I barely have this turned up and the speakers on the side are bouncing. Changing the song forward is really easy, just push the play button twice (double tap). The only thing you can’t do is change it back. I can have my phone away and I’m still able to turn the volume up or down with just pushing the buttons of the speaker. You’ll see that I have a case on my speaker, it’s the RichSmile Silicone Carrying Travel Case for JBL FLIP 5 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker. Even with the case on, it doesn’t alter the sound that comes out of this thing. I haven’t tested the waterproof on this however, I have taken this at the beach and in the mountains and the sound on this is amazing. Easy to connect to either types of phones and even tablets. Really am amazed with the sound quality on this speaker.

Disappointed…
So, this is a nice little speaker that seemed to work well. We bought it to use around the pool & when travelling. It was used for about a month prior to it failing (ok, stuff breaks/fails and that is way there is a warranty). The unit stopped charging (via the USB-c port).
Here’s where this all goes south….
The JBL warranty program in Canada is brutal. The company that facilitates their warranty work seems to check in from time to time with customer RMAs, shipment status, and overall communications.
If I communicated like these guys with my customers, I would loose my job & most likely, so would my boss after my customers moved their business. Unit failed July 8. Today is the 23rd – I contacted JAM Industries again today to let them know they received my defective unit four business days ago via Canada Post Express & was told to hold tight.
Weak perform from the team on this and therefor weak CSAT & me taking the time to let others know.
This does not meet my expectations as a customer & would really think hard before buying a JBL product again.

L’enceinte est de très bonne qualité, même le son, le seul problème, il pourrait y avoir plus de basse, mais ce n’est pas un problème. Pour vous, ceux qui veulent seulement écouter de la musique dehors ou à des fêtes, cette enceinte est idéale pour vous.
Pour ceux qui par exemple s’attendent à beaucoup de basse, je recommande un produit plus gros, comme le charge 4.
Est fait de très bonne qualité et une autre bonne chose, c’est qu’il peut être submergé dans l’eau sans problèmes. Alors aucun problème pour les fêtes à la piscine 😉😁

I was originally planning on buying the JBL flip 4, but all my friends had bought the flip 5, and we wanted to connect them all. So I bought the flip 5 and I am NOT disappointed The JBL flip 5 is waterproof IPX7, has way better sound quality, almost twice the size, and is only $30 more than the flip 4. We walked like four km in the rain while listening to music and the speakers held up perfectly. It’s so nice to be able to connect all the flip 5’s to one phone too, all though the flip 4 will not connect to the flip 5 so if you and your friends had separate speakers, “party boost” wouldn’t work, (If you were wondering).

Muy buena bocina, a pesar de haber escuchado bocinas más caras me sigue sorprendiendo que por el tamaño suena mucho, la construcción es buena se siente sólida y de calidad.
Si no la haz comprado escucha el vídeo pero ponte audífonos así te das una idea de como suena.
Sin duda la volvería a comprar.
Lo único malo es el Jack 3.5 pero no lo ocupo ni tampoco usar retrocompatibilidad con la flip 4, si buscas eso pues no lo tiene.
La batería es buena y no necesitas conectarla a cada rato.

La bocina no funcionó. El vendedor externo se desentendió del tema pese a múltiples correos. No me entregaron factura.. estoy haciendo el proceso de reclamo vía Amazon pero NO COMOREN CON ESTE VENDEDOR. Del producto en su sólo puedo decir que este venía fallado y ni funcionaba..

It was a good purchase for 130 dollars. I expected better sound quality, I could hear some raspy sounds when the music played. But it’s good quality for the price. The speaker is very loud and perfect for outdoor use and parties where quality doesn’t really matter. The sound quality isn’t bad, I’m just used to the bowers and Wilkins T7 which is much more expensive and has noticeably better sound quality(but it’s not as loud). If you want bass go for it, but quality I’d go for another speaker.

Battery life is a complete joke. Speaker battery is dead after only 3 hours of continuous use. Sound is pretty good.
Also, I ordered a flip 5 but I actually received a flip 4. I only just realized this after requesting a refund. Needless to say I am not impressed with ELECTRONIQUE HI-FI INC and will not be purchasing from them again.

Ever wanted an bluetooth speaker that even when connected has hiccups? Even when sitting in front of a computer that it is connected to and playing music, while skipping? This guy is for you! The Flip 4 was too reliable apparently and so they came out with the 5 which won’t play music reliably 2 feet away. Get the 4.

For the small size of the device, the sound is astounding. Do not expect over the top bass, but the overall sound is clear and of quality. For your smart phone or pad, this is the travelling companion you need. Bluetooth connection is fast and never fail. When you made it once manually, it will connect automatically to your phone or pad the moment you turn it on.
Easy to use and set up, good quality sound, this is a great product.
Au regard de la dimension réduite du produit, le son est renversant. N’espérez pas des basses à tout casser, mais globalement, le son est d’une grande clarté et d’une excellente qualité. C’est le compagnon idéal pour votre téléphone intelligent ou votre tablette. La connexion Bluetooth est rapide et n’a jamais flanché. Elle se fait manuellement la première fois, et automatiquement par la suite, dès que vous mettez le Flip 5 en marche.
Facile d’utilisation, son d’une grande qualité, c’est un excellent produit.

He pasado lista por todas las bocinas alrededor de este tamaño y precio, desde los UE boom 3, Anker flare 2, Bose sound color link 2, bose sound link mini 2, Anker Sound Core, Bose Sound link Micro, UE Wondweerboom e incluso la anteriror flip 4. Su compartiva mas cercana en precio seria la UE wonderboom. Dicho esto, al precionada pegara como ella. Te lo aseguro!
Es muy portátil debido a su forma cilíndrica, cabe en todos lados y no estorba, la resistencia al agua es un plus y para los que somos más tech oriented la integración del USB C es muy bien recibida ya que reduce una hora completa de carga a comparación de la flip 4.
TEN EN CUENTA que si buscas algo con micro USB, entrada auxiliar o micrófono para poder contestar llamadas vete por la FLIP 4.
De nuevo, para aquellos tech oriented el precio a pagar por el avance tecnológico a USB C y una mejora ligera en la calidad de sonido en comparación a la 4, Lo vale.

En cuanto al SONIDO, a comparación a la 4 la flip 5 continua con su misma firma de sonido pero lo logra mejorar aun mas, es balanceado y completo. es una buena para cuartos o salas, nunca te faltará volumen en lugares dentro de la casa, PERO en SERIO la vas a ver ( o mejor dicho escuchar) brillar afuera. Esta hecha para dar una EXCELENTE experiencia de sonido en el EXTERIOR, volumen alto pero más importante claro por qué no se distorsiona al 100% de volumen y los radiadores pasivos laterales hacen que los bajos se sientan cómodos y no vencidos.
Aunque recuerda que es una bocina pequeña y portátil, no una boombox para fiesta.Por ende tiene limites hacia cuantos bajos esos radidadores pueden producir. Dicho esto, jamás dirás “Hmmm, podría ser más ruidosa” o “Podría ser mejor en su categoria a este precio”.
La batería al 100% de volumen te da unas cómodas 8+ horas. Debajo de eso solo seguirá aumentando. En un 70% estarás todo el día escuchándola sin preocuparte por cargarla.
En RESUMEN, excelente sonido AÚN más en brillante afuera que es donde la verás brillar. Muy buena batería y es muy portable. Si la encuentras en promoción no lo dudes (al rededor de $1799)

Twice I’ve ordered this speaker, and both times I was sent defective items. It’s really unfortunate, but there’s this awful popping and cutting noise coming from the speaker when I first turned it on. It wasn’t the type that you could ignore, no, it was really bad. I contacted warranty which I didn’t really get far with, so I returned the first one and ordered another. It worked for the first day, but it started getting the same popping noise and culminated in a sudden and very loud screeching. I honestly thought the thing was gonna short circuit itself and start smoking. Turned it off immediately, now I’m left disappointed and demotivated from trying another one.
It really would have been a great speaker, the sound was nice, loud and clear when it did work. There’s the odd tune it makes when connecting/turning off or on. That may annoy some people.

After reading a handful of reviews that were based on people upset about emotional aspects of the speaker… ie it won’t connect to their flip 4 speakers. Whatever. I looked past that and am glad I went with the 5. The sound quality is superb. The bass response is indeed superior to the 4 as well as the battery life. At the same price point of 100 dollars its a no brainer. The Flip 5 is a superior model in all aspects. This speaker far, far exceeded my expectations. This speaker is stupid loud – and crisp at that. I work in an automotive shop and I keep my volume at 25% in my station. Phenomenal sound, phenomenal quality, could not be happier. I highly recommend.
