Really heavy little grip and the screws don’t correspond with anything on the SMALLRIG camera cage for EOS M50. I don’t know if it “wasn’t meant” for it, but I thought there’d be some universal ideology going into the design of it. It’s sturdy, yeah, but it doesn’t stand up and down, I have to fandangle it to make it work and it’s not a great third point of contact. Screws come loose after light use as well, keep an allen key set on you!

When it comes to camera rigs, for me, weight is a huge factor. Most of my work with weddings and usually the entire wedding so a lightweight camera rig is essential for 6-8 hour jobs. Don’t let the weight fool you, it is a very sturdy and nicely made piece. The top section of the handle is metal, and this is where you will find three 1/4″ screw mounts conveniently placed for various accessory add-ons. Below the metal portion is the majority of the handle, which is hard plastic with dual rubber sections for excellent grip. Another nice feature is the fact that the handle is essentially ambidextrous because the part that fastens the handle to the camera cage is able to be unscrewed, with the included tool, and flipped around to allow the handle to be mounted on the right or the left side of the camera cage. All in all, this is a great product for the price point and is the perfect add-on for any lightweight camera rig build.

My mistake was not reading reviews where I read I am not the only M50 the same problem. I am in formed that I can return or replace items: Eligible through August 14, 2021, which doesn’t do me any good since I am overseas until September 8th and would cost me 3 times the price to return by mail by the Aug. 14th. I am disappointed that the description is not clear, even getting on the web site is not clear which handle fits the M50 Cage. I recommend no one order the side handle for the 2168b cage until it is clear which is the proper handle. The M50 cage and wrong handle are excellent, beautiful and well made, just their description and information are flawed. I am now stuck with a handle that I can use. Thank you
