This cover is a useful addition if you are likely to be using your SLR in bad weather, I don’t think it would be useful in REALLY bad howling weather but for a bit of rain, or splashing from a waterfall (not SUBMERGED obviously) it is a useful helpful protection. Easy to fit, good price and easy to use so yes I would recommend it.

quick delivery, and a great price. Truth to tell, I have not yet used it “in anger”, i.e., during heavy wet weather, but the quality and fit seem excellent, and it seems brilliantly designed, and very easy to fit on my dslr (a Nikon D90), and I have no qualms about the product. Now, it’s raining outside as I type, so do I go out or have my dinner? Hard choice, and in this house food always wins.

Looks great but doesn’t seal the lens. Pulling the drawstring tight doesn’t hols, but velcro strap is short and attached to the hood so not able to use to tighten and seal. So slightest movement of hands and the hood slips over the lens. (there was no seperate velcro strap as in the illustration). Also be aware if not using a tripod the neck strap has to come out via one of the hand holes… So difficult to secure the camera. Product not expensive but sadly of little use to me.

I bought this in a rush for a day’s landscape shooting after noticing that the weather forecast was for rain. It’s quite large and should easily accommodate a full frame DSLR with ease – my APS-C frame Nikon D5500 was dwarfed by it. There is plenty of spare material around the lens area to protect a reasonable sized zoom or short telephoto, although a full sized one would project out of the front. The best thing about it is that after it arrived, the weather forecast improved and it wasn’t needed on the day. I’ve therefore not tested it in anger, but I’m certain that it would cope on those rare British days when it rains 🙂

Brilliant. No excuse not to get out and about now! Whatever the weather, with one of these you can be sure your camera’s safe from the elements. Perfect! Thank you.
