Didn’t want to pay the exorbitant price being asked for the famous-name original product and this seems just as well-made, with a quality feel.

AmazonBasics products are slowly becoming my go to brand whenever that option is available on the items I purchase from them, this iPhone charging cable is no exception, this is actually 2nd time I’ve bought this item, I was so impressed with the quality and build of the 1st one that I had to get another one to keep as spare!
The nylon braided cable means there’s less chance of it getting tangled up which is a selling point for me, as I have so many charging cables for different devices, sometimes it’s a nightmare trying to untangle them.
I totally love this cable and I’ll go so far and say it’s much better than the official Apple one and at the fraction of the cost!

We needed a replacement for fraying apple cords for our iPads.
We had been worried about whether they’d really work OK, but in fact seem to be fully compatible and worked fine, with both iPads.

I’ve got a wife and three kids all with iPhones so you’ll understand when I say I buy these things on the regular. However these new ones are nowhere near as good as the previous ones. I bought two of them and neither one makes a solid connection to the phones, they are too wobbly and dont always remain in position so it’s 50/50 whether the phone is charging or not. The old ones worked every time. I get it that these ones are more durable but what’s the point of durability when it’s so unreliable about charging? It’s got one job to do and if it can’t do that, there’s no point. Won’t be buying these again.

I ordered this because I thought it would be a better option than the cheap cables you can purchase at the grocery store check-out. I was wrong. This cable stopped working within a couple of charges! I did not bend or drop the cord. Alas, my grocery store $5 cable is outlasting this one that is 3x the price. Don’t buy it.

I’m using this new usb/phone cable so as to be able to charge my phone downstairs. Ordinarily I just plug it in at night before turning in. But sometimes in the morning I realise I’ve forgotten to plug it in and can only take it back upstairs, etc, etc. I also bought a new compatible charger. So now while I’m waiting for the coffee to drip and listening to the news I can simply plug it in and voila!
As far as reliability and durability is concerned, it’s a bit early to tell – I’ll get back to you.

I’ve bought a used iPad on kijiji for cheap, and I suspect that the seller tried to fool me as at first the device failed to charge. But it appeared that the problem was in the faulty charging cable, and I bought this as a replacement. Everything works fine, absolutely no trouble with charging since then.

Really good cable braided and it does exactly what i wanted it to do, my mobo usb c only provided power and my graphics card provided ethernet but not power in sleep.
So this little cable being USB rather than C solves that issue and i can pick up a plug at a later date for charging faster when needed.
iPhone 13 mini cable works perfectly 😀
