And it has not blown up yet.
In all seriousness, TPLink makes excellent products. Specially their larger enterprise switches, such as the 24 ports regular switch.
For at least 3-4 clients, we have setup a Voip pbx, with a 24port tplink POE switch, ALL PORTS IN USE by yealink phones.
Those switches are still alive after 3-4 years of usage which impressed me. I keep a spare in case because the switch goes, the phone goes. But just to say, TPLink does solid stuff for below the price of the bigger brands like HP or Dlink.

Good quality, robust and simple – plug in all your network devices and connect to a router and away you go – no stuffing about, just works.
I like the robust steel chassis/case and the large power supply. Often with these types of devices, the included power supply is absolute rubbish and fails within the first couple of years. However, judging by the size of this power supply, I’m expecting years of trouble-free service.
I bought this switch to power my POE (Power Over Ethernet) security cameras and to allow connecting multiple cameras to the last available network port in my router. Thus far I have 2x security cameras connected (Amcrest IP8M-T2499EW and IP2M-841EB) with both cameras working well and more cameras on the way.
Amcrest offer a similar switch for a similar price, however the speed is only 10/100Mbps. This switch is 10/100/1000Mbps, which should ensue longevity for future upgrades. Just a note – if you’re going to all the trouble to run network cables through your roof and down walls, make sure to use Cat 6 or better for future upgrades. My cameras only have a 100Mbps network interface, however the next generation will likely have a 1000Mbps – so I’ll be right to re-use my current network infrastructure.

Bought this for use with some IP security cameras that use POE.
It’s a simple box – just plug it in, plug in your devices, and plug int the bridge cable to your regular switch. The indicator lights let you know link state and POE power use.
Case is metal for durability and very compact: there are screw mounting holes on the back (or rubber feet provided) for easy mounting but not the power transformer is bigger/heavier than the switch itself!

regardless of what port is used & cable ( yes cables were tested ) cant push more than 100 Mbps through this switch poe ports. the UP-Link is GIG BUT the poe ports are ONLY 100 Mbps. Misleading, could have paid much less for an identical switch of the same speed/ I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

I would recommend this device if you are planning on getting a POE adapter. I think the price is competitive and how it is built is sturdy. it works as advertised. Fanless and quiet and also easy to deploy or install. Provide you the option to mount on walls. I like the fact that it has a 5th port that you can connect to the switch and that you can still have 4 more ports to use for POE and data. Please do take note of the power requirement. it also has IGMP snooping that aids in performance for video streaming applications.

I needed a gigabit PoE switch to power four polycom phones. Having tried PoE injectors in the past it was time to implement a more elegant solution. This switch sits nicely in the server rack, came with a decently-sized power cable (often underappreciated) and has been providing smooth, high-speed network connections to all of them. I was hesitant to try TP-Link given past experience but it looks like they have improved their quality in recent years.

This is a well-performing 4-port POE + 1-port non-POE gigabit switch.
I’ve had very good luck with TP-Link networking equipment (routers, switches and smart plugs/switches) so I preference them when buying new network equipment.
I ordered this switch for my garage to support four wired POE security cameras (mounted on the garage soffits). Although the switch is not intended to run in environments below 0°C, it has performed well in my garage – I have it mounted against the inside wall so temperatures generally stay at or above -10°C throughout the winter.
The power cord measures approximately 117” long, including the inline power brick that is approximately 55” from each end of the cord.
A few things worth noting:
– There are two LEDs per port (one indicates speed/activity, the other shows POE status)
– The ports are on the opposite side to the power connector
– The mounting holes have cut-outs in two directions, allowing mounting with Ethernet ports facing downwards or sideways (I used 6 x 5/8 flat socket wood screws to mount)
– The power supply is 1.25A @ 48V, indicating absolute maximum power consumption of 60W (i.e. 56W for POE plus 4W to power the switch)

Después de un año de uso no he tenido ningún problema con el, está funcionado 24/7, tengo conectado dos puntos de acceso alimentados vía PoE. Lo recomiendo!

Needed a POE option to cleanup my home office lab.
This was perfect, nice and compact, doesnt generate a lot of heat and allows me to run a couple devices. Currently running a couple phones and a camera off it and love it. Its a switch, its job is to be invisible and work and it does that perfectly.

I bought this device 6 months ago to provide POE for my IP Cameras. It worked for a few months and then it gave up the ghost. Since it’s an unmanaged switch, there isn’t much to do other than power off and power on. No link or speeds lights. The best part so far is support and trying to get it RMA’d; pictures, proof of purchase and 5 business days to determine if it’s covered by warranty which according to the vendor’s website is 2 years. You get the picture. While in my experience it’s rare for switches to fail, it does happen. I have grey market Cisco’s that are a decade old that are still humming along but for most that’s an expensive proposition. My advice. Spend the extra money and get the real thing. You probably won’t have the same aggravation with getting support.
