FOLLOW UP AFTER A FEW DAYS OF USING:

I’ve dropped my review down to 3 Stars. I’m very disappointed in Logitech for not including a wrist rest with this keyboard that covers the entire length of the keyboard. I purchased a full size 3rd party wrist rest (HyperX) and while it’s full length the G915 is actually longer because of the G1 – G5 keys. No 3rd party wrist/palm rest will span the length of this board meaning that Logitech should absolutely be including one in the package. Frankly I’m tempted to drop my review down to 2 Stars because of this.

GENERAL THOUGHTS: This is a very nice keyboard. I’m using the tactile keys and the typing experience is fantastic. The G HUB app is easy to understand and use and the option to use Macros with the keyboard is very useful. I can say that this is the best keyboard experience I’ve had to date. That said, there are some things that could be improved upon…

    – This board should absolutely include a palm rest (e.g. Logitech’s own MX rest). At this price I’m very surprised that one isn’t included.

    – The Memory key lighting should be programmable and I’m not sure why Logitech decided not to include this.

    – The secondary key functions are near impossible to see in a dark setting [i.e. !@#$%^&*(), etc.]. A key (😉) request would be for Logitech to either find a way to also light these symbols or use a brighter colour for the symbol itself.

    – The G HUB lighting controls should include the ability to set a colour toggle on keys. This seems like it’s something that has been overlooked. Being able to toggle the colour of the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys when pressed is a great example of how this would be used.

    – Finally, the G1 to G5 programmable keys should be moved to the right side of the keyboard, beside the numbers pad, in order to better avoid accidentally clicking them when using the CTRL and SHIFT keys. I disable both the G4 and G5 keys to avoid the accidental hits.

UPDATE: Amazon did an amazing job at getting a new board out to me (within 24hrs) after receiving the first keyboard that had a broken key right out of the freshly opened box.

[PREVIOUS] I just received this keyboard and am really looking forward to using it, especially based on the reviews I’ve been seeing. After opening the box I immediately noticed that the lower left programmable G key was not manufactured correctly (see photo). I’ve had to request a replacement from Amazon. Wondering how this keyboard made it through quality-control? Not a great Logitech experience so far. I’ll follow up with this review in the coming days / weeks.

NO COMPREN LOGITECH.

Great looking & low profile. Sounds good and have all the right functionalities.

Love the switch and I feel like I’m typing faster and more accurate with it (I have the clicky version).

The one minor complaint I have is the keycaps. It does not feel very solid and premium, might be good for keeping the weight down but it does not feel as good as pbt keycaps. This is usually fine as most mass keyboard manufacturers use abs as oppsed to pbt, but its difficult to find replacement pbt keycaps since the switches are proprietory.

Elegant, beautiful to look and touch. I think this is it when it comes to high end keyboard model. The LED show is visually stunning and fun to watch. Overall its a great purchase. I bought it for work purposes, for easy of use and minimal wrist strain. I cannot comment on technical aspects of this keyboard since i am a really not good with tech and need to use it to write reports. Basically the keys are easy to press. Keyboard is not noisy. the clicking sound will not disturb others. There is minimal lag when typing. I have not used the logitech software yet. There are for sure many areas of improvement if someone cared to read our reviews. The secondary functions are not illuminated so if you do not have good eye sight it will be difficult. Unless the keyboards back light is turned on you will not be able to see any letters. Personally I am very happy with the purchase and now will have to cut back on breakfast to pay for it :)………… that’s when you are happy and crying at the same time.

Update: Of all the keyboards I have ever used this is by far the best experience. If you can afford it definitely buy it!!!!!!

Update 2: Product support is a joke!!!! Amazon.com.ca need to hire real people who actually know the product and not someone who has to google the info and still not able to answer your questions. On the other hand I was able to reach Logitech support without much delay and they were able to answer my question!

On-board memory cannot be used because the software comes with it cannot write a profile to that memory. Filed bug to the development team and get no response.
Having a bug is acceptable but not fixing it is not acceptable. Especially for such a premium product.

For people who are planning to buy this keyboard, remember that this product does not have on-board memory support. This means you need to have a background software running for all macro and lightening assignments to work. Plus if you plug it in another PC then all your setup is gone.

    Update (2020.06.15):
G HUB (the software/driver) 2020.4.47660 has fixed the issue.
You should be able to use your onboard memory as soon as you are using that version or a later one.

So glad they eventually fixed it after I filed the bug twice and waited for 3 months. On the other hand, I cant believe their change log says “New device support: G913/G915”. So basically this thing, as a premium product, is originally not supported by their own software! Anyway, I am happy now and you can purchase this thing without worrying about this problem.

No I will not change the 1 star. This is a mistake that worth a 1 start review to document it.

    Pros:
-Having a wireless keyboard w/ the same input lag as wired keyboards is just amazing
    -Sleek modern design
    -Configurable colors
    -Typing on these feel great

    Cons:
-Symbols / alt characters are not lit, extremely hard to see at night. This is a much bigger deal than I thought it would be.
-No wrist rest included. Come on, if you’re paying over $300 the least Logitech could do is include a wrist rest. Instead I found myself having to buy the HyperX wrist rest for another $40~
-Way overpriced. I think this keyboard should be priced no more than $200. This is what happens when you have a monopoly on wireless gaming products.
