First of all, the product came fast and arrived in a brown box, and inside, there was:
– The PC with its power cable
– Keyboard and Mouse
– WiFi adapter
the PC was wrapped in a firm coat of bubble wrap, and the keyboard and mouse were in an 2 separate boxes from the same brand. The keyboard is amazing. It is lightweight, and it takes little pressure to press the keys, and doesn’t make much noise. I wish I could say the same for the mouse, which is also lightweight, but feels cheaply made.
It didn’t come with any display cables, but luckily, I had a VGA cable laying around. This product doesn’t take HDMI, but takes Display port, and VGA. the WiFi adapter it came with didn’t require any setup, but it did come with a disk to install the drivers, but you won’t need it. A VGA port CANNOT output sound, but luckily, the PC itself has speakers. They are not very good, but I will definitely be buying a Display port cable, and the sound should play from my monitor. it also has a headphone jack, and a microphone jack, so you can use those as well.
The WiFi is 802.11n, so it’s not as good as AC WiFi, but for me, this wasn’t a problem. If you really need AC WiFi, you can buy an adapter for about $10-$20. The CPU is fast, the inclusion of an SSD is incredible, and this system is completely capable of playing the game Asphalt 8 legends, so the Intel HD 2500 graphics hold up today, but to do any real gaming, you’re gonna need a low profile graphics card.
For this price, this Desktop is a steal, and you won’t be disappointed with what you get. Even with the drawbacks like the 802.11n WiFi adapter, subpar mouse, and the exclusion of a display cable, I would steal rate this product 5 stars.
Also, as I was typing up this review, the right click function on my mouse temporarily got stuck, so i will definitely be buying a new one.

My 11-year-old son loves to play Roblox, and was using my desktop to play. Apparently, it is easier to play on a desktop vs a laptop or ipad. I work from home and need to access my computer so he wouldn’t get to use it often. I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a desktop, nor did I want to set up a desk in his room. I searched on Amazon and saw this and decided to purchase after reading the reviews. I picked up this and a wireless keyboard and mouse.
Alex has a TV in his room, so we decided we could hook this to his TV, instead of purchasing an all in one desktop, or a monitor if we went with this. I will say, if you decide to hook this up to the TV, you do require a separate cord. I can’t recall the name of the cord, but we were able to purchase one for $20. (was not an HDMI cord) This is all set up and it works extremely well.
I was nervous that perhaps this would be slow, but he says it works very well and is fast. I still can’t believe how cheap this was, vs spending hundreds of dollars on an all in one. I did opt to purchase the 3-year warranty for an additional $20, just in case something happens.
If you’re looking for a cheap computer that works well, this is it!

When I opened the box, I was so exited!!! I followed the instructions precisely, and started the computer. Everything went well until I turned the PC off and attempted to restart it the following day. The PC would not restart/boot without disconnecting the printer and external hard drive first. The HP logo you see in the photo attachment is all that would display. So basically, I have to disconnect the printer and the external hard drive to get the PC to operate. I called tech support and they were no help at all!!!!!!! I stayed on the phone for nearly an hour and a half with the “SO CALLED” tech expert and he ended the call to go to lunch and never called back!!!!
BUT I’M SENDING THIS DAMN PIECE OF CRAP BACK AND HE OR WHOEVER CAN DEAL WITH IT!!!!

Hard drive failed after less than 10 hours of use. I tried calling TechnoCanada for the 90 days warranty.
The supplier did not speak English very well and he told me to communicate directly with AMAZON. But Amazon’s guarantee is 30 days.
Conclusion: it is better to buy directly from a known store than from AMAZON. You will not lose your money and will have better service.

I got four of these. They were all in very good condition and very clean. The biggest blemish was where it looks like a corporate asset tag was scrapped off on two of the front panels, still really just minor scratches. The machines were very clean inside with all the dust removed. The PCs came with SSD’s from various manufacturers – all circa 2016 (but all 128GB SATA as advertised), and various memory modules (but always 2x4GB SoDimm DDR3 1600MHz as advertised). There was Win10 Pro pre-installed with new Win10 Pro license keys on new Certificate of Authenticity stickers.
I’ve configured and run each machine for several hours with no issues so far.
I do have one complaint though: Why do they have to install garbage-ware on these machines? Each machine had MS-Office 365 Pro-Plus and Visio 2016 installed in no less than three (English, Spanish, and French) languages! That is six large uninstalls that for some reason take 15 minutes each to complete. Plus some sort of security software (ESET) that started off wanting me to pay for a license. It takes almost 2 hours to go through the un-installs of this garbage to get to the clean machines I had expected.
Still, I’m happy. For a very reasonable price I will be able to upgrade my small business from a bunch of old Win7 machines to reasonably modern, compact, quiet Win10 PC’s. They have lots of USB slots so they will be ideal to replace two ageing point of sale PCs and still connect to all the required peripherals.

I’m calling this a balanced review because I’ve been working with computers for over 40 years and am a “tech’s tech”. Not to brag, but I’m one of the guys that younger techs today learn from. This refurbished computer isn’t a bad deal, but don’t think you’re getting something awesome out of the box. I ordered one of these for use in my garage as a spare computer, so I wasn’t expecting a whole lot. I didn’t, however, expect noticeably lackluster performance. The reason? The SSD installed by the refurb people in this computer is probably one of the worst-rated on the planet. Slow and unreliable. But very cheap. Does it work? Yes. Is it noticeably slow? You bet. First thing I did, after noticing the sluggishness of the machine, was to order a better SSD. The USB Wifi adapter sent with it was the low-end — I also switched that out to improve network performance. The mouse works fine, but the provided keyboard has at least one letter partially rubbed off. So — would I return this? No. Is it awesome out of the box? Absolutely not. My guess is that someone is buying these things in bulk from businesses at pennies on the dollar, putting in the cheapest SSDs they can and hoping for the best.

I’ve been very happy with this item so far. I purchased it from RefurbChoice to use as a Plex Media Server connected to my home LAN. Everything got setup pretty quickly with only a few minor adjustments for my purposes. I’ve seen some reviews with major issues but thankfully I didn’t have any of them. With listings like these I feel like it’s very important to choose which seller you buy from.
Here’s my full experience!
Unboxing – I was, at first, a little concerned because it came in a pretty beat up standard amazon box but it was taped up well. When I opened the package all I saw was very mangled butcher paper. Not sure if it’s why but this paper looked like it had been used and reused multiple times. I have no problem with that, mind you…If this is how they keep their costs down then yay for reusing packing materials! As I dug deep I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw the actual PC was wrapped in what looked like a thick sheet of packing bubbles that had been shrink wrapped around all the items. It was obvious at least some effort was given to packaging even if it wasn’t the “prettiest” presentation. I don’t really care about pretty as long as it’s functional.
Item Inspection – Next I took a look at the items. Everything looks almost new. The PC had a thin layer of shrink wrap on it to protect it from dust and everything had a faint smell of rubbing alcohol which suggested to me that it had been cleaned before packaging. No scratches or dents of note and the included keyboard and mouse looked new as well. All the advertised parts were installed and included (DVD drive, wireless usb dongle, power cord with block, all the right ports etc.) The only thing I noticed was that the DVD drive is a little wiggly and doesn’t look like it’s a perfect fit. But not so much that I think it will cause a problem. I’ll probably open the PC up later and just make sure it’s attached properly inside and no little screws came loose or something in transit. I’m also really excited about the size of this. It’s half the size of the old PC I was using ad a media server and it fits in my entertainment center perfectly! It’s also very quiet.
Setup – Inside the box was a piece of paper with instructions on how to register windows and everything went smoothly. It was virtually plug and play. No trouble connecting to my wireless router or wired internet connection. All I needed to do was mess with the resolution a little because I was hooking this up to a television instead of a monitor. I installed Plex media server and mapped the external harddrive connected via my LAN.
Final Thoughts – Overall this is a great PC for a great price. Easy to setup, looks nice, as advertised. The only thing I can think of that would have made this even better is if it had an HDMI port. It isn’t a problem, I simply purchased a $6 Display port to HDMI cable and I was good to go. It’s certainly not a deal breaker. Highly recommend this PC and this seller. Will certainly update my review if that changes.

I normally build my own computers and a coworker asked me to put something together for his mom. She uses her computer for basic tasks – internet browsing, email, and basic games (i.e. Solitare).
After looking at parts costs and the cost of a Windows license, I realized that a refurb office desktop made the most sense for her use. I ordered from seller TecnoCanada on Amazon.
PACKAGING AND PERIPHERALS
The computer arrived well-packaged with a new Tecnix (never heard of them) mouse, keyboard, and external USB-wireless adapter.
THE COMPUTER
The tower itself is surprisingly compact, measuring approximately 10” tall x 2.5” wide x 10” deep when standing up on end. It can sit up like a tower (the stand shown in the photo was NOT included), or lay flat. The power supply is an external brick similar to most laptops. Although it is a refurb, there are no obvious signs of use or scratches on my unit.
SET UP
Set up is easy, plug peripherals in, wire in a network connection and turn it on. The new SSD has Windows10 pre-loaded, but it must be installed and set up prior to use. The Activation Key is on the tower (and not pre-loaded), so you’ll need to key that in. Note that you’ll need a VGA cable (this computer doesn’t have a DVI port).
HARDWARE
Included hardware is as advertised – Intel i5-3470s processor @ 2.9GHz, 8 GB ram (7.88 GB usable), and a 120GB Samsung SSD. There is a built-in speaker which can be used if you don’t have speakers to plug in.
PERFORMANCE
Performance is excellent for basic tasks – the SSD gave this thing new life! My only complaint is that the included intake/CPU fan seems to slightly vary in speed, causing a slightly annoying sound.
OVERALL
I’m really impressed with this unit for the price it sells for. It will make an excellent basic internet/email/chat computer, and would also be good as a media center. The included Windows 10 Pro activation alone costs $150+ if bought from a legitimate source.
Amazon Customer –
I bought this computer to use Word and Excel at home. I liked that it’s a powerful enough computer for that, and the (refurbished) price was attractive.
After I got Windows activated and started using the computer, the CPU and case fans both ramped up quickly to 100% and never slowed down. Sensor diagnostic software (what a time to be alive) showed that the CPU was running at 100°C with very low load. Clearly there was something wrong with heat dissipation from the CPU. I opened the case, and followed a teardown video I found online to pull the heatsink off the CPU. There was a clear plastic barrier between the heatsink and the CPU – the one that goes on the heatsink to protect the thermal paste until you attach the heatsink to the CPU. I removed the plastic and the thermal paste was caked on hard. Fair warning: if you buy a refurb PC, there’s a chance that you’ll have to do a little work to make it run.
I had to remove the plastic barrier that was improperly left between the CPU and the heatsink. Then I had to scrape off the old, caked-on thermal paste and clean the heatsink with a solvent. Finally, I put new thermal paste on the heatsink and re-installed it. After this remediation, the PC is running great.

The device received contains an i3 3220 as seen in the attached images and not the i5 as advertised. A good refurbishing company would not make this mistake.
