Telugu actor Allu Arjun was sentenced to 14 days in jail after being arrested in connection with a stampede outside a theatre in Hyderabad last week, where one woman lost her life. Actor Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in connection with the tragic stampede at the 'Pushpa 2' premiere, which led to the death of a 39-year-old woman. Granted interim bail on a Rs 50,000 bond, the actor spent the night in jail due to administrative delays . Consequently, the Hyderabad police on Friday (December 13) arrested Allu Arjun on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, and voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt under Sections 105 and 118 respectively of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS). Telugu actor Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad police for his role in a stampede that killed a woman and injured her son during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident occurred due to overcrowding and lack of security measures at Sandhya Theatre, where Arjun had attended the screening without informing the authorities.
