Lord Vishnu slaughtered King Hiranyakashipu, the King of the Nation with the incarnation of Nrusingh. The story of this incarnation is as follows: According to religious texts, King of the King Hiranyakashipu considered himself to be more powerful than God. The reverence and the worship of Vishnu is described in 22 chapters of the first part of Vishnu Purana, along with the profuse use of the synonymous names of Vishnu such as Hari, Janardana, Madhava, Achyuta, Hrishikesha and others.
