School Innovation Marathon (SIM) is envisioned as India’s largest school-level innovation challenge, jointly organized by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, The Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education (MIC), AICTE and Yuwaah, UNICEF. Students from both ATL and non-ATL schools are encouraged to identify community-based problems and propose innovative solutions through working prototypes. On the eve of the 5th anniversary of the National Education policy (NEP) 2020, the School Innovation Marathon of 2025 was launched on 28.07.2025 by the Secretary, DoSEL, Ministry of Education. In the School Innovation Marathon 2025-26, students have to identify real-world community problems and then develop solutions to those problems with the help of innovations.
