My only complaint: this is the first “used” item I’ve bought from Amazon — there were no instructions. If this is normal, I won’t be buying anything else ‘used’. Fortunately, the stool was fairly easy to assemble using common sense, but this isn’t always the case, particularly regarding the best order of assembly. So, no more “used” items for me.
The 4 stars for ‘Easy to assemble’ should perhaps be 5: it was easy, but I had a hard time tightening the seat screws, even using pliers to turn the key.
However, the ‘acceptable’ condition was more than acceptable: like new, except for a small chip & a hardly-noticeable scratch. It’s well made & very sturdy, & looks great. It’s too big for where I’d planned to use it — in my tiny kitchen, where I need to sit down frequently. (Foot-spread measurements from all manufacturers would be a good idea?) But I’ve found another home for it, & am very pleased with it. An excellent product.

Now that these stools are put together (I bought 3), they are truly gorgeous. However they are very uncomfortable to sit on! And you also feel like you’re going to fall backwards any second. We wind up turning them sideways and using them like a saddle, which is more comfortable. Also, while the pieces fit together easily and the instructions were clear, turning every single screw with a single allen key was very difficult. My hands were sore for days. One of the stools had a screw with no “hole” punched in it for the allen key, so I used wood glue and hoped for the best with another screw I found in my tool box. They really do look good, but they are not the most practical things in the world.

The material looks good. I am not sure they use hard wood. But at least there are no mdf materials used, even if looked at the stool up-side-down. I do not have any complaints on the screws and Allen key, although I did use a T-handle Allen key to do the short screws. It is a lot faster and lest energy needed. The reason for the one star deduction was the hidden finish under neath the seat board. The little square frame where the 4 legs are connected to the seat are very roughly finished. I have to sand it down around the exposed edges. And then there is a gouged hole which looks like done by a drill. They could have filled the hole by filler but they did not.

We are first time home owners, and we are slowly learning about the costs associated with said ‘ownership’…
I was shocked when I started looking at bar stools online and in stores – $100 to $200 EACH for a tall seat. I thought seriously, you have got to be kitten me (enter Amazon).
These stools are sturdy, sharp looking, and a realistic price for people that still want to afford life.
Rejoice as you no longer have to contemplate selling your kidney so you can enjoy sitting at your kitchen island.

We bought 4 of this black stools.We love them.
We use the rule of: counter top height – 12.5″= stools height.
Use 5/32″ (4mm) hex socket together with a appropriate ratchet to assemble these stools.
We install very loosely the legs to the seat first to let the seat holds these legs.
Then wet leg brace ends with carpenter glue and insert them to the holes of the legs and tie right away the brace to the legs before going to the next brace because the glue dry very fast. After tighten each brace, clean excess glue with wet towel immediately. With glue, braces and legs stick well together as a piece thus braces cannot be rotated when children rest their legs on braces.
Finally, tighten legs to the seat correctly. Do not force too much when you do this operation as you might crack the wood. We did hear a crack when we force one of them too much.

Nice hardwood material, well written-instructions, easy assembly.
Allen key included, though it was stripped by the time I was done tightening those large screws; on the plus side it had an extra long handle that gave me much better leverage. You may want to use something better than a disposable if you have it, it will make assembly easier. I tried a ratchet screwdriver with a Torx 25 bit (fitted nicely) but the leverage was not there and it made the job harder.
Stool is sturdy, adding a dab of glue at connections would not make it much sturdier. Makes sure to assemble LOOSE first, and only tighten once all the parts are connected, or you may have issues. When doing the lateral bars/footrests, make sure the tenon is fully inserted before calling it “done” – some had some slack and tended to slip out, giving a false impression the screw was as tight as possible (it wasn’t).
Otherwise, a nice kit, an hours project, and a piece of furniture that looks like it will last quite a while.

Increíbles! El precio se me hizo muy bajo para la calidad que tienen. No tuve ningún problema para armar. Compré 4, uno me quedó como en la imagen, 2 con las barras abajo en lugar de arriba (me di cuenta que fue error mío, después caí en cuenta que por eso había batallado un poco más en armar esos dos), al ya haberme equivocado decidí hacer el faltante como el primero que había hecho para que hubiera simetría en los 4 banquitos. Todos se vuelven muy funcionales pues los de barra más arriba lo puede usar gente más chaparra y los otros más alta. Es de las mejores compras que he hecho en Amazon.

You need to put the legs on, and make sure, all the Holes for X match & line up..
Now I bought a set of Two.
& it was worse then a ikea project.. The Alen wrech that came in the box broke.. Cut my arm open.
Next day, same result from trying to tighten alen srews..
See to get it..perfect & tight
You have to ripe your hands apart… As No took the time to drill out, self tap holes..
You really what a power /cordless to build these… As trying too turn that alen wrech

Los bancos se ven mas caros de los que son y se sienten bien una vez armados. Sin embargo, es importante mencionar que los tanto los tornillos como la llave allen para el ensamblaje son de muy mala calidad. De los 3 bancos que adquirí solamente uno lo pude ensamblar sin problemas, en uno de los bancos se barrio un tornillo y fue casi imposible sacarlo para utilizar uno de los repuestos, en el otro, una de las uniones de las patas se partió por atornillar muy fuerte.
Tengo con ellos 2 semanas, esperaremos a ver como se comportan después de unos meses de uso diario.

Excelente, me había desanimado un poco las reseñas donde decían que los tornillos de mala calidad etc pero los recibí y son perfectos, muy bien hechos buena madera y si en efecto puedes barrer los tornillos…. si no sabes cómo atornillar! Asegúrate de embonar la llave hasta el fondo antes de girarla (como con cualquier otro tornillo)
