I was a bit worried about the strength since it’s mostly plastic but we had windstorm with 100km/h + wind and nothing move, bend or broke ! It’s 4 time cheaper here on Amazon than my local lumber store. The curve allow water and snow to be pulled away from doorstep and this is exactly why I bought it. Really please with this purchase.

These are doing very well so far. Let’s see how long they hold up in almost full sun and some snow. I did caulk the seems one they were installed. Different wall anchors were needed for vinyl siding instead of concrete anchors. They just handled 50 mph winds and held up just fine.

The “polycarbonate” is a razor thin sheet stuck to what appears to be cardboard or some other material with interior “waffling,” like cardboard. We regularly get heavy winds here and this laughable product would be in Kansas at the first gust over 20 mph. My contractor refused to put it on the house, for fear it would blow off and damage the brand new exterior I just had put on my house.
On top of that, the “polycarbonate” was all scratched up, and one entire corner was damaged in such a way, it looked like it had been dropped on that corner, causing compression damage.
Looking at the box, I see that it is made in China – and that explains a lot right there.
I can’t return this fast enough.

Look nice but the material is not that good to compare the price what they ask for, price should be max $ 30-$40 or may be less. It can protect sun but not snow or ice, it’s not that strong enough to hold snow or ice getting bend . Good for summer weather.

Very flimsy when putting together. Only 4 small screws hold it together and the pieces kept falling off before I could put it together. So I silicone all the pieces together including the polycarbonate panel then put the 4 small screws in. Not coming apart now.
The mfg. says to only install on a flat exterior surface. Well, my awning was going on vinyl siding. So, you now know me, I improvised again! I bought an 8′ X 5 3/4″ piece of ABS window molding. Cut the
2) 13 ” vertical pieces and the top piece and fastened with 3 ” deck screws on top of the vinyl siding to make my smooth surface ! Then I used stainless steel 3″ lag bolts to fasten the brackets on. Silicone all the edges to thwart any water. Now it not only looks like a million dollars but no wind, rain, or snow will bring it down. The brown color panel ( 40 X 40 ) with the black brackets is very handsome. Tried to put a pic on but would not take, in fact it cancelled all my verbage. The picture would show you how to install this product. Their instructions were very simple, even said something about item #7, put pics only had 6 #’s, oh my. Definitely a 2 person job !

I bought this to protect my grill area from rain. It works very well for that . It assembled and installed easily . I am unsure how well this will survive the winter months … but we will see. ( * One side point: my first one arrived slightly damaged . I contacted the seller and they sent me out a replacement very quickly with no questions asked ! This seller is awesome and for that reason alone I would highly recommend this product ! )

We put this up over a side door that is always in the sun and rain. It’s a door that seems to deteriorate from the weather and we are tired of putting a new door on. So far, so good. This awning looks more expensive than corrugated plastic and was easy to install. We bought the brown and black one and it looks really nice. It covers the single door and comes out 40 inches, which is a nice size.
