Like the look of it, not too big or rugged. Buttons are big enough to press while in motion. Like the start button being on the face. Cool backlight. Love all the features and best of all, the rare feature of a countdown timer in a watch of this price!

I’ve had this watch for a while now and I’ve had its predecessors, and I must say, it is a solid purchase.
I inherited my first Ironman watch from my father after he came back from serving in Operation Desert Storm and so when it came time for me to enlist, I bought an Ironman watch too. I was not disappointed. I was really rough on that watch and it never let me down throughout basic training and other courses. In fact the only reason I purchased another is because I lost my old Ironman somewhere during a move.
These watches are the best for anyone active or has a busy lifestyle.

I started running again last year (2012) and wanted a watch that I could use to time my runs and provide splits if I ran laps or at key points on my training routes. I liked the look of this watch and it can time up to 30 laps with recall later. I found it very easy to use. I’m small 5’6″ and 72kg yet it fits my wrist just fine. The watch is advertised as waterproof and I have worn it whilst running in the rain and during washing up with no problems. I haven’t swum since buying it so can’t comment on suitability for swimming. You can set reminders for appointments, birthdays etc and daily alarms. The display is easy to read whilst running. The only negative for me is that the alarm sound is too quiet, I just don’t hear it. It does flash the screen as well as sound an alarm but unless I happen to be are looking at it at the right moment I don’t notice it. Overall though an excellent and attractive watch.

I like the timing capability which is the main reason I bought it. It’s water “resistant” which I can only test once I get back in the pool or into a lake. I’m used to the buttons so it was not a problem to get it programmed and be able to use it, but the technology is getting stale. Would love to see a heart rate monitor built into this unit (without needing a chest strap). Overall good value for the money.

I am used to G-Shocks but I wanted to try something else so I went with this one. Received it on September 6 and today we are the 16th so 10 days later and the Indiglo light is already not working. Really disapointing from Timex. Was comfortable to wear and lightweight though while it lasted.

Edit: Amazon sent me a replacement watch and it has been going strong since September. I wear it 24/7 and I don’t even notice it’s there. Lightweight, tough and does what a good Timex is known for.

    1) The first unit arrived crushed because Amazon sent it in a padded envelope.

    2) The replacement unit was also sent in a padded envelope (duh) but made it to me in one piece. Unfortunately there was debris/dust under the top glass. I tried for a second replacement (3rd unit) but Amazon would not allow it so I requested a refund.

Maybe these are refurbished units being sold as new???

My husband uses this at work instead of his smart watch. Its strong, works fine, and a manly design 🙂 I think its the best deal to get really for a good quality strong and affordable watch! Recommended!

This is a digital chronograph in the slightly older style (ie pre Apple type watches) but it’s easy to read, waterproof, totally reliable, has timer and alarms as well as 2 different time zones and keeps you on track with the day of the week! Excellent value for money.

Classic running stopwatch exactly as described. Loses one star as the strap is intended for those with wrists the size of a rugby prop forward, and as a skinny chap I have to fasten it at the second to last stop which leaves the loose end a bit prominent. Should probably opt for the mid-size watch but this is more fiddly to operate and looks a bit girly.

LOVE the model. Have it since ages (around the ‘2000s), thrashed just 1 watch and about 3 straps from military hardships. I need gear that can handle itself, I hate worrying about breaking gear. If it can’t follow me, I dont want it.
I had to change for that new model because the older one is discontinued and no straps were available anywhere. Same functions: 2 time zones, chronograph, timer, 3 alarms, good retro-lighting, intuitive buttons navigation…can’t ask for much more.
I’ve been snorkeling and diving and sunbathing etc…no worry at all.

In a world filled with technology, it’s nice to go back to a simple watch.

Going to use this for my runs. easy to use buttons, with lap times. Been wearing it around daily. Light weight and I really like the look of it. If I want more precise tracking can always use the Strava app on my cel phone.

My son (almost 13) loves this watch. He has even forgotten to take it off at bedtime it is that comfortable! He has Aspergers and has issues with the feel of items but this is great. It is light and doesn’t look too bulky on his wrist. He is about 5 foot 7 and quite a slim build. He also says it has lots of functions eg he has put his grandma’s birthday in as an event even though it is 5 months away! His previous watch had a plastic strap which stuck to his skin and made him sweaty but this nylon strap gives him no such problems. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this watch.

It’s a pretty good watch for the money. The face of the watch is very very dark almost all of the time it’s hard to see without using the indiglo mode. It’s fairly comfortable I do notice that if I wear it during work my arm tends to get quite sweaty underneath the watch.
