I bought this to replace an aluminium compartment style card holder. It held about 8 cards comfortably but with 8 cards there was no room for cash. The Ridge holds cards and has a clip for notes. In the photo I have 9 cards and £35 in notes which it holds easily. It could hold more cards. It is the same size as a credit card with solid good quality sides and strong elastic. Time will tell how well it stands up.It feels top quality and although at the price it is a considered purchase I am delighted with it and am happy to give it a five star review.

I saw all of the imitation ones on different sites, but opted for a Ridge. It is very well built and easy to use. A word of warning … those with huge fingers may not find getting cards out to be an easy task, but for the rest of us, no issues. Spend a bit more for a Ridge.

Nice wallet. Very compact. Not the easiest to get your cards out when you have the maximum cards you can store. After using it for a week or so I’m sure it won’t be a big deal. It’s a little pricey for what you get I think. Not much there. They clip has good grip on whatever you out under it. All not to bad. Still better than packing around the bigger wallet. Learn to carry less.

I don’t get this – it seemed like a really durable, convenient product, but when I got it, it’s just two bits of heavy metal clamping your cards together.

Getting cards out quickly is ridiculously awkward and cumbersome. You can only really access the top card. It’s also literally heavier than my old leather wallet because it’s metal.

I need access to my cards quickly as I use the train everyday. Getting the card out fast to scan through is so fiddly. Pushing the cards up just pushes all of them up a tiny bit so you’re struggling to select one and pull it out.

I just don’t see how this is supposed to be any more convenient than a normal wallet.

I have been toting a leather tri-fold wallet with Faraday shielding for years, but I have had an eye on “minimalists” for a while now, and The Ridge appeared to be a champion of the breed.

I have seen some negative reviews for reasons with which I don’t agree.

For example, one reviewer complained that the cards have to come out at an angle, because you can only push on the thumb notch, and that that makes it difficult to extract a card from the middle. I find that if I put my right thumb on the bottom of the cards, at the thumb notch, and place my right index finger over the tops of the card, and then pull the wallet down with my left hand, they come out straight, and it’s easy to select a specific card.

Another review raised the concern that pushing another card in (again at an angle) would in time damage the elastic (effectively, the cards would saw at the elastic). I find it easy enough to pull the panels apart at the top and push a new card in straight (I currently have 8 in the wallet).

Another claimed that the cards lost their magnetic strips grinding together. Perhaps inserting and extracting cards the way the other reviewers claimed they had to do would do the trick, but I find doing it my way doesn’t grind the cards any worse than any other wallet.

I find the small form factor very convenient, and the money clip (you can get one with a strap, also) is pretty strong for notes, but you do have to fold them twice to not overhang the wallet. I have not had any durability issues yet, but I have only had the wallet for a week. But because it is small enough to fit into the glass dish in which I place my keys, my coins and my work security pass, I am never likely to forget it, even with my very early morning start.

Pretty solid replacement for a wallet. I use it for work so I don’t have to ruin my Gucci wallet. Only wrote this review because they keep emailing me repeatedly asking for a review so here it is. Would’ve given 5 stars if you weren’t so pushy about reviews

I heard great things about this wallet and decided to buy one. The wallet looks and feels extremely durable, and will last a long time. The problem I’m having coming from a traditional wallet is the card removal. I try to get one out, and end up with 8 cards in my hand while the wallet snaps shut. With time it will get easier I think? Also, the metal money clip curves up and makes a sharper edge that will quickly destroy the pocket on my pants so I’m going to replace that clip with a flatter strap.

Something that’s advertised as a hardened titanium plates wallet with the lifetime guarantee and sold at the premium of £86, got scratched very easily after of couple of months of carrying it in my pocket with house keys. See photos.
One would certainly expect more from a product like this and customer support have advised that the guarantee doesn’t cover durability? I was offered 50% to buy another one?!
Premium products should stay premium and not only sold at premium price.
    Disappointed customer.

So I knew this was going to be minimal, but in my head I thought it might be bulkier and not much smaller than a wallet. I was wrong. It is basically a thick credit card!!

Perfectly manufactured and sturdy construction, but lightweight with strong elastic that pulls the sides together. This purchase was an experiment, as both my partner and me have recently suffered from card cloning, I wanted to keep my cards from being scanned whilst trying something discreet and long lasting. I think I may have found the solution in this. I chose the gunmetal grey, however, I liked the black and carbon options so the wife can get this one. I did try card jamming devices (also on amazon) which work, I just wanted to lose the bulk of a wallet. If you want something minimal of decent quality and don’t mind the £, you have found it.

I read all the reviews before purchasing this product not what I expected it is very difficult to use cards are hard to remove – I am always fumbling to get cards out of the wallet for the price I could of gotten a basic card holder for a lot less- I feel I wasted my money with this purchase.

Initially was very happy with the ridge wallet. That is up until these scratches started to appear on the outside of the wallet.

The advertising language leads you to believe that these *titanium” wallets are nearly indestructible and that it comes with a ‘lifetime warranty’….well after submitting Ridge with a photo of the damages I received a reply stating that the warranty doesn’t cover regular wear and year.

Beware. Do not buy if you expect this product to be immune to scratches

I have been a fan of minimal wallets for 15+ years. The photo compares the Ridge with my previous “wallet”. Both hold a similar number of cards. I have been cashless for forever, so have removed the money clip. Initial impressions are that the Ridge will be less convenient to get cards in or out. Ridge is smaller, but has sharper edges and may wear holes in my pockets. Cards rattled in my old one, Ridge holds things together nicely. Elastics on my old one wear out after 5-ish years. We will see how the Ridge fares. Ridge looks much cooler!
