It’s not clear in the product description that this rug pad is not suitable for vinyl flooring. (You may be able to read it on the picture of the packaging if you zoom in. It just says “May not be suitable for unsealed, lacquered, acrylic, carpet or porous surfaces” – no mention of vinyl?
Received it, took half an hour to trim it to fit my 6’7 x 9 brand new rug and saw on the packaging that it may not be suitable for vinyl – great, I’ve just wasted $37.99.

It is no better than what appears to be the identical product from the local hardware/home stores for less than $20 as opposed to $57. I guess the warrantee will be successful since it won’t be stressed by external forces since it just slips to mitigate those forces. I have always been happy with Gorilla products but this one is a loser.

When we rolled out the 10 x 8 rug pad we immediately noticed that the edges on the 10′ lengths were not cut in a straight line. It was worse on one edge with the cut was 3-4″ out. What we tried to do was line the carpet up with the pad on the straightest 10′ side and 8′ end. We ended up cutting the pad on three edges and had the 4th 8′ edge short by 3″. The poor cut made it difficult to place the rug pad and get coverage under the carpet on all sides. Not sure how they managed to cut is so poorly. On a positive not, the pad does hold the carpet in place and does add some spongy depth/ feel.

My College Dorm Bed is waterproof and very slippery which makes my mattress topper slide around like crazy with any movement.
I put this on and the mattress topper has not slid off during the night and it has not slid off during extreme action.

Is definitely anti-stick, but found that it pulled off the finish of our hardwood floors. Thousands of dollars invested in refinishing our floors to have a waffle pattern under our carpets… pissed.

I went with this one based on Amazon reviews and I am sad that I did. I have a reasonable heavy carpet 5 x 7. This grip doesn’t hold the carpet in place at all. My partner and I have to adjust it every 3 months because it shifts so much. I think Ikea has a better underlay that sticks very well to the floor and carpet is less likely to move around like this one. Also as it ages, the plastic pieces in the pad thread will start shedding. Not impressed by this item at all.

This mat is absolutely amazing. I have a platform bed that is inclined on approximately a 10 degree angle. My maitress was forever sliding down-it was the vain of my existence. Gorilla Mat now keeps my maitress perfectly in place. I had been wanting to buy a new bed frame with a lip on it to prevent my maitress from sliding. No need for a new bed frame now. I cannot recommend this product enough-Ingenious!

No tenía muchas esperanzas y decidí comprarla por recomendación. Felizmente, la malla funciona y evita cualquier deslizamiento de mi alfombra en mi sala. Se recomienda comprar una medida que casi sea del mismo tamaño de la alfombra. Ahora con la malla, la alfombra se siente un poquito más acolchonadita 🙂

Does it’s job fairly well, for now. Packing was intelligent. Bought it to be under a huge rug which will receive a big hardwood bed that must weigh half a ton. It really is non-slip, at least on my laminate flooring. That stretchy no-slip quality of the material makes it a bit hard to place on the floor properly at first because when you pull one end just a part of the surface moves. But that’s the point I guess. I used a measuring tape not to measure but to pull straight lines to follow. Once in place the rug sat perfectly on it and didn’t budge. But when trimming with scissors it is kinda hard to manage a straight line because of the windowscreen-like shape of the pad, but then again if under a rug or something it won’t show! Pleased with the product. Overall 4.5 stars.

Works as advertised, my current futon frame has had half the mattress holders snap off so we had to pull the mattress into position several times a day. I was dubious about this actually keeping the mattress in position, it seemed unlikely given the contact points were merely a raised wire lattice. It worked though, I haven’t had to put the mattress back into position since I installed this, it has only been a day, but as I said, multiple times a day before. The king size is inexplicable cheaper than the smaller ones, but it is easily cut, so no real problem. The cut bits make good anti-slip trivets for cups and the like, too.

I am definitely glad I bought this one instead of the one I found in a local big box store. The one in the store was the same size, but folded in the package it was only about 2″ thick. And it was more money. I took a chance on this one and bought it instead. When I opened the box I was really surprised by how thick it was. This one was about 4″ thick when folded in it’s packaging. I laid it out on the floor myself, easily unfolding it and smoothing it out. (Sometimes these things stick together when trying to unfold them) I have a 9×12 area rug that I am using this for. The area rug was already down for a couple of weeks so I was used to how it feels to walk on it. Now it is more comfortable. I know these pads are designed to stop the rug from moving, but it also gave it a little bit of cushioning to make walking on the rug softer and more enjoyable. I am definitely happy with this purchase.
