Everything about this tv is off the chain! It is so dope! For real. Great sound ,great picture, bluetooth and the thing I like most about it is there is an audio only mode which is so nice for falling a sleep on the couch. You can turn the screen off and have only the audio going. I use this to put the music channels on and fall a sleep to some nice classical music. With the bluetooth feature I can turn the screen off turn the bluetooth speaker on take it to my room and listen to the music there. When I turn off the speaker everything is turned off the screen does not come back on or anything. N o need to get up and turn off the tv.

My other Android TV is a 65″ Sony Bravia with 3D capabilities. Even as a die hard Android fan I was really unhappy with the Sony TV, and for the longest time I had thought Android OS on TV was irredeemable.
This inexpensive TCL completely turned my impression around. The set up was super slick, and its interpretation of Android TV is refreshingly efficient and clean. This TV costs 1/10 of my Sony and it is 10x more pleasant to use. Where the Sony’s Android is unstable and its menus nonsensical, TCL is rock solid and logical. Sony couldn’t get the power functions done right, and it is maddening to endure. I will never buy another Sony product ever again but I will gladly purchase another TCL. $/in wise, you cannot beat the quality and price.

For the price, this 55 inch TV is a good buy. I love the Android TV interface-so much easier than Samsung’s Smart whatever they use. Picture quality is top notch. The slight downside is audio quality. Not as robust as I was thinking. One may wish to purchase a sound bar to provide audio depth. And at this price point with the money you saved you can purchase the sound bar.

I made the mistake to buy Android TV (I have TCL Roku TV in 2018 and Want to upgrade to a bigger screen), I thought Android TV is good with Google home which is why I buy it.
The nightmare begins. If you are Apple user, you don’t have the built-in Airplay anymore (They had that in Roku version). Google Home is even worse on Android TV compare to Roku (I ask to turn on the TV and nothing happens…Roku is smooth and sweet with a smart home).
Yes, they have Chromecast but I cannot cast my iPhone to the screen and when I cast my computer video/screen on the Android TV, the delay is totally unacceptable and unwatchable. At least 5 sec delay and laggy! (I am using Telus 300M internet and router just beside TV/Computer)
If you are Apple user, go with Roku …..I don’t have any android mobile device so I can’t tell

I’m very disappointed with my purchase.
I bought the TCL 43″ 4K Android TV, which was priced at CAD 329 and seemed like a good deal. I was a bit hesitant since I’ve never owned a TCL product, but the majority of reviews were positive so I went for it!
The box came in great shape, aI opened it, build quality felt cheap but for the price it was ok, and since it was a secondary TV my wife and I weren’t expecting to have anything fancy.
I must say that the picture quality and the Android interface were great while it lasted, but after 30 minutes of use the screen got completely black, and weren’t able to see anything. The speakers were working though, so it was weird. Then I did my own research and seems this issue happens a lot. Yes, I tried unplugging the TV for several minutes, even from one day to the other, but nothing, nada. I could’ve contacted TCL customer support but honestly, I don’t want to be worried about thinking this may happen sometime in the future again, so I immediately returned the product and asked for a full refund.
I can’t believe a brand new sealed product can be so bad. Wow! Yes, you may be lucky and never get a faulty product, but do your own research before buying.

The picture quality is OK. But the Android TV OS is a very bad OS, very disappointed.
– The home screen almost not customizable.
– Apps you can find in the Android TV OS play store is very limited. Like not able to find the Opera browser.
-Picture mode selection not working. Selecting the Vivid, Movie or Smart HDR, etc, see no difference in the picture performance, seems like a product defect.

Strictly on value, this is a great tv. The picture quality is acceptable. In a dark environment, 4K HDR content looks great. I have this TV in the courtyard. The remote is good and I love Android TV, built-in Google Assistant is useful. The apps are peppy and load up fast and the WiFi is stable and fast. For comparison, I have a LG CX 65″ in the family room and a LG BX 55″ for gaming and a Samsung 65″ 9-series from years ago. One small negative is that I find the streaming quality on the built-in chromecast to be subpar – Not sure why, I’ve updated the app and the TV fw with no luck. There is a bit of pixelation that doesn’t clear up like it does with the Chromecast dongle. So unfortunately, I’m still using the chromecast dongle for streaming Rogers Ignite TV and the quality is great. WOuld prefer to the built-in, just to get rid of the dongle and easier volume control. Otherwise, an almost perfect TV.
