I got this as a less expensive alternative to an Otterbox commuter case. The case is sleek, feels good in my hands and appears to offer great protection. The raised edges around the screen and back camera provide some extra protection for drops.
The only thing it’s missing is a flap for the charging port. Otherwise, I am super happy with this purchase and will try this brand again.

If you’re looking to give your phone a high level of protection then this case is definitely worth considering. I’ve used Spigen cases before, and found them to be very well designed and made with a real feel of quality in the hand. This one feels quite thick (but not to big in the hand) which I like, as it make me feel like it’ll look after my phone a lot better than some of the cheaper cases I’ve used over the years. Also, the buttons and holes are all the right size and shape, and adds to the overall quality feel of it.

This is my 2nd Spigen case and was waiting for the Rugged Armor to be available for the S20 FE. When I opened the package and felt the case in my hand, it was great. The back has a matte finish, almost velvety feel to it. Provides decent grip without it being “sticky”. Like someone else has mentioned, this has rounded edges, not like other cases, and feels comfortable when holding your phone. All cutouts are perfectly centered to the mics, charger and speaker holes. The buttons are very tactile and you can feel the click of the buttons. The case holds the phone firmly and doesn’t feel like it’ll want to pop off. The camera protective bump is definitely high enough to protect the camera lenses, but in my opinion, probably wasn’t required as the case material is high enough to make the lenses recessed. I would have made the back of the case perfectly flat as well, which would eliminate any rocking, but since the rocking is minimal, it fine. The top protective lips on the front of the phone are also sufficient to protect the screen even when a glass screen protector has been added. I like the design, fairly low key. I can be used in a corporate environment, but does have some flare with the carbon fiber “inlays”. These are printed on the casing so no possibility of them falling off over time. I would definitely recommend this case to anyone.

I switched from otterbox because of the lack of options and this one was recommended. First impression is that it’s much cheaper in regards to quality but at its price range it makes sense. There doesn’t seem to be as much of a distance from screen to edge which frightens me because these phones aren’t as sturdy as the flagship models. It’s not as textured as I expected, just the sides and the two strips on the back.
Edit: I decreased the rating from a 4 to a 3. The hole for the charging port has sharp edges that cut into my pinky finger when I’m holding it. Likely would not buy this brand in the future.

Used Spigen cases on all my phones prior to the S20 FE, always loved them. I don’t beat my phones up, but I also don’t baby them either, and these cases have never let me down. Love the slight rubberized texture, it grips to surfaces just enough, and the case is comfortable enough to hold and use one-handed, which is something that I can’t say for other cases. Also much less bulky than even the thinnest Otterbox-style case.

Long story short, I lost my phone after leaving it on the back of my car and driving away.
The person who retrieved it watched an 18 wheeler drive over it and was convinced it was toast. The extra glass screen protector that I had on was definitely donezo but my actual screen had fairly minimal cracks (wasn’t responding though) and the back was completely in tact (including the camera). I took it in to see if it was salvageable and it was!! This case saved my 4 month old $1200 phone. From an 18 wheeler. I will only be buying these cases from now on.

It fits perfectly and appears robust and well made. I’ve already dropped my phone and it bounced with no damage so I’d say the case was worth the money

I am one of “those” case warriors. I’ve had plenty of cases on many phones.
Spigen has always been my go-to brand for phone protection. Sadly, this particular case has let me down.
The first time I dropped my phone (out of my pocket) it hit the deck with a thud. I wasn’t worried about it as this was a Spigen case and wasn’t a massive fall from some great height. So put it back in my pocket and forgot about the whole thing.
It was only when I took the case off to clean my phone that I realised that the case failed and damaged my new phone.
Of course I could have just been unlucky and it may have landed on a small stone at a very particular angle, but I want to be able to drop my phone without worrying what it lands on.
The other things to note:
– the sides of the case are very flexible, great for getting the phone in the case. Not so good for when you drop your phone, especially with curved edges as this leaves the edges susceptible to impact (and one of the most common points that your screen will crack). It also means it can lift some screen protectors because of this movement.
-it has a nice feel to the case but a bit too slippy for my liking.
Overall, it looks good and will “probably” protect from most drops and the protection around the camera is really beefy. The material and fit are top notch and it’s very slim which will meet most peoples criteria for a phone case.
For me I want 100% certainly that, from a drop from 3ft (1 meter), the phone will be still pristine. Sorry Spigen.

Had trouble finding a case for my S20 FE 5g since its technically already “out of date”, but this one does a REALLY good job.
I don’t see why people are complaining about the lip around the screen being too small, any larger and it would just get in the way honestly.
I paired the case with tempered glass screen protectors and my phone is nice and safe even after a few drops!

I personally dont like this case, fingerprint reader never worked, I bought a better one elsewhere and they wouldn’t let me cancel my order a week before it was shipped…. so I tried the case out for a few days and its not for me! The customer service is also terrible

It’s decent but not amazing, for it to be “rugged” it needs a bigger lip around edges or at least higher at the top & bottom and keep the sides as they are, it is also a bit slippery, not as bad as plastic but it slides, luckily the edges have ribbing and are more rubbery so at least that part is grippy, it’s just be nice if the back had a bit more grippy texture to avoid sliding off stuff or out of your hand.
as long as you pay less than $15 for this, it’s a decent deal as there are few good options for the S20 FE yet… oddly the s21 already has much more and it came out a few months later

Ich habe das Handy nagelneu und suchte ein Cover, dass griffig ist, also aus der Hand fallen vermeidet und trotzdem nicht besonders dick aufträgt. Hatte bisher immer Spigen Cover auf meinen Samsung Handys, daher jetzt auch mal TopAce dazu genommen.
Also alle drei Cover bestellt:
TopAce: Fühl sich etwas nach Hartplastik an, aber definitiv das schlankeste Cover von allen. Passt wie angegossen, man erkennt fast nicht, dass man ein Cover hat. Kaum ein Überstand beim Bildschirm.
Spigen Tough Armor: Wie es der Name schon sagt, definitiv das robusteste Cover. Sicher gut für Bauarbeiter oder einen Einsatz auf ner Bohrinsel, nichts für mich, also hab ich es erst gar nicht ausprobiert.
Spigen Rugged Armor: Passt ebenfalls perfekt, hat aber leichte Riffellungen an der Seite und schützt durch einen minimalen Überstand den Bildschirm sehr gut. Fühlt sich leicht gummiert an, somit griffiger als das TopAce und daher meine 1.Wahl!

Perfect, snug fit. Side buttons work perfectly. All cut-outs are perfectly aligned. Very well made and finished.
The case’s raised lip around the edge of the front screen and, especially, around the rear camera “pod” offer excellent protection without making the case too bulky.
I may add screen and camera protectors, both of which would themselves be protected to a great extent by the raised lip detail on the case.
I have fitted Spigen cases to my previous two phones and have been pleased with both. I am very pleased with my decision to stay with this brand for my latest one.
