We bought this for a Kid’s Smartwatch for GPS tracking on a 2G network. The coverage is OK, using T-Mobile towers. On the low-cost, no voicemail plan, $5 a month is more than adequate for as often as the watch gets used.
I contacted customer support because the time on the tracker watch is set by the cell network and there are no adjustments on the watch. Unfortunately, the time was off by 4 hours. The watch company blamed SpeedTalk and SpeedTalk blamed the watch. Customer service was pretty easy to get a hold of and seemed like they wanted to help. They even offered to contact the watch company to see if they could figure out the problem. Due to poor, non-native-English support from the watch company, we’re now just dealing with the time being wrong.
The biggest problem is BILLING. A credit card number is required to activate the card. Ok, no big deal… but here’s the kick in the head: Even if you select the option to not be billed monthly, they will bill you anyway. Yeah. They completely ignore your wishes.
Fortunately, I read this on another review already and used a “Prepaid Visa Rebate Card” that I got back from another purchase that had a $10 balance. The most they can autorenew on me is $10, so it’s not the end of the world. I would suggest against using a real credit card and NEVER use a debit card with this company.
In conclusion, it works. Does a pretty good job and the price is right. As long a you’re forewarned about not using a real credit card, this is a pretty solid option for GPS tracker items for kids and pets.

Watch out for identity theft. SIM never worked, I called multiple times and they would say that you had to wait 24-74 hours for it to activate. I did that, nothing happened. Called to cancel, they said their system was down and couldn’t do it. Filed complaint on Amazon. Don’t use them. I never write reviews, and feel compelled to warn other potential customers.

So much hate in the reviews, please hit LIKE so my honest and experienced review goes to the top.
So I started out looking for the cheapest service provider to hook up GPS in all of me and my friends ATV’s, SXS’s, and trailers.
I tried many different services looking for the best deal and so far SpeedTalk has been the very best and cheapest. For $5 a month we all get peace of mind and we have had no issues what so ever for several years now.
After purchasing and signing up for the $5 a month plan, I just make it a priority to set up the auto pay.
We all have this speedtalk service, I personally am here to buy my third sim card for another device. I have had the service for close to two years now and have not had any trouble, no overages, no auto pay problems, etc. The service works wherever tmobile works and I have tmobile phone service. I have parked in areas not covered by tmobile but as soon as I am back in range it works great. Most large cities and major highways have tmobile so this works perfect for our 2G GPS devices.
I think the people who are having trouble are blaming the sim card or provider for their own mistakes. None of us have had ANY problems.
Please Like for an honest review from Kansas!

Buenas tardes.
Saludos

A credit card number is required to activate. The company will use that number to charge you repeatedly, even after you’ve created an online account and made sure to turn off auto-renew. I activated the $5 prepaid SIM on July 2, 2017 and was charged $5 each on July 31, Aug. 3, Aug. 7, Aug. 8 and Aug. 14. I called on Aug. 1 or 2 and had the July 31 charge reversed. The customer service representative hung up on me and a representative from my credit card issuer when we called to complain about the other unauthorized charges.
