Machine is not the one shown in pictures. The one sent has just the one button on top that you manually hold down (they recommend for 2 seconds each press, pressing 3+ times) to add the carbonation. In my experience, three presses of the button doesn’t give it much carbonation at all. I typically will hit the button (for the recommended 2+ seconds) 5-7 times, and the bubbles aren’t nearly what you’ll get in a bottle of sparkling water from the store. May be because the seal around the top of the bottle while operating the machine isn’t very tight. You can hear gas escaping after the second press of the button. Despite that, it is pretty hard to remove the bottle from the machine as well. I have to yank up pretty hard.

I’ll keep using it for now because I am trying to decrease the waste generated by buying sparkling water. But I’m pretty disappointed since what I received isn’t what I thought I ordered (based on the pictures) and the quality is pretty lackluster.

Definitely, something useful to have if you drink carbonated drinks often (once a day – a few times per week). The options/levels of carbonation are amazing, the highest level of carbonation is so good, it’s like drinking Canada Dry type of “spicy”, maybe even more “spicy”. The carbonation cycle takes merely 10 seconds max, so very fast and efficient. However, one thing to note, is that I feel as though the duration of carbonation is quite short-lived. But other than that this product is amazing!

This wee miracle (the three button model) saves about a half dozen bottles and a half dozen cans a day every day. Works a dream.

Worked good until return date expired, then it started squirting water all over the counter when filling. And no l wasn’t overfilling the bottle. Very disappointed.

Bought one about a year ago. Started to to fizzle recently. Company replaced with no trouble. I bought a third one for a friend the next day. Great gift.
    Thank you !!

We are longtime Sodastream users…our 8 year old unit finally started to fail, so we upgraded to the One Touch. Absolute dream…easy to use, consistent, efficient. As good as the manual carbonator was this is even better. Just push the filled Sodastream bottle onto the One Touch, you don’t even have to screw it in, hit the start button twice and in about 10 seconds you have a liter of fresh carbonated water. Can’t emphasize enough how simple this is. We drink 4 or more liters of seltzer a day in the summer so this machine has gotten a fair bit of use since we set it up…100% reliable to date.

I am using it at least twice a day since I purchased it and just love it. nSome flavours are better than there. So far I am leaning to the Sodastream suit flavours but that is personal preference. I like this unit since I can select the amount of bubbles.

This is the third unit I have purchased. I like the idea behind the product but my first two experiences ended in product failure after about 4 weeks. Both were purchased from the same store and both had the same date code. I purchased this one on line to get a different date code to see if the failure was a manufacturing or design defect. I am in a wait and see mode. Still to new to tell.

The carbon canisters are where the real costs of this item shows up. Even using refills at $22 a pop it can cost almost $500 a year to feed this thing. That is if you use it every day. You can buy diet cola at a buck for two litres. If you drink a litre a day that costs about $180 a year. Sodastream costs about 2.7 times as much as buying pop and you do not have to hunt for retail canister replacement outlets. Some sellers charge twice3 aw much as using the exchange canister outlets. $1,000 a year for sparkled water? On the plus side, the unit works as advertised. It better!

The media could not be loaded.

I like the idea, but it’s more of a headache because of the mess it makes every time it’s used.
I place the bottle. Push the button then it shoots water all over the counter. If I stick folded cardboard under the bottle then it doesn’t leak out as bad.
I can’t recommend this based on my experiences with the product.

Very easy to use; three carbonation choices, but the “60L” CO2 canister lasted maybe 20L of medium carbonated water.

It worked the very first time but then all it did was spray water everywhere when I tried to use it again. May have been damaged in shipping but have contacted seller and they have offered to replace the full kit in a more secure container and sent me a return label for the defective one. Hopefully I can start streaming soda again soon!

This product works exactly as it says. Simple and easy to use. However, if you want it to taste like the bottled soda water you buy, you need to use the highest level of gas. I was in love with this product until I realized that approximately 1 bottle (2 average glasses) a day equals one 60L gas cartridge per month, and tried to order the replacement. After much research, no local store (I live in one of America’s top 10 highest population cities) within reasonable distance 5 miles does the refills. I didn’t bother to look beyond 5 miles. So, only option left is to user their refill program online. This costs you $14.99 per bottle. Not bad, right? Well, you have to return the empty bottle within 60 days of your order of them (not receipt of them). They recommend you mail back within 7 days of receipt of your order. By the way, there’s mention of delays to delivery because of COVID19, but no mention of extending the deadline to return your empty bottle before being charged a fee of $14.99. Anyway, after doing the maths, I was left with the option to buy another bottle at $30 (their discount code for $10 upon registering the device is not applicable towards this purchase – another rip off) as a backup and order one refill. The option for two refills doesn’t work if takes one month to use up a bottle as you won’t get the second bottle back in time before being charged the fee! If you try to order only 1 bottle, your shipping costs goes up from $7.99 to $14.99, so either way, you pay for two bottles and get a fee of $14.99 or you pay for one bottle and pay the cost of a second bottle in shipping. TOTAL RIP OFF! But once you’re in, you feel trapped because you spent all that money in the first place for the machine. Right, I’m all for reducing the production of plastic through what feels like an environmentally responsible choice like buying this versus buying a 24 pack at Costco (which is way cheaper too by the way) than 1 your one gas cartridge refill. It’s a shame that a company like this charges so much extra for shipping 1 bottle versus 2 bottles. Think all the expense through before buying. DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY THIS AS A GIFT FOR ANYONE. They will be upset with you for the cost of refills, and not having committed to financial burden themselves….or it will sit there unused after one use, which is another waste of plastic consumption!
