Good value and seemingly well made trainers that are comfortable from first trying on. However, have reported an in formation issue.

Says outer is leather but the information on the tongue of the shoe admits it is leather and a balance of man made material. In effect, around half the outer is a greeny brown synthetic leather with some resemblance to leather but is most definitely not.

Will wear them in the summer and hope they breathe OK. Clearly well made but it is to be seen how modern manufacturing holds up to the traditional ruggedness of the past product. Price to quality balance appears reasonably good on first receiving them today.

First time buying shoes online. Went to brick and mortar store to test size fit. Ordered online only because I couldn’t find this style. Very pleased with look, fit, and pleasantly surprised that it came with two colour laces, beige and black. Skechers is my favourite brand. Most comfortable long lasting shoe I’ve owned.

I really like these shoes. I got the charcoal colour option and, as I hoped, they co-ordinate with all trouser colours – grey, black, brown and of course jeans too. This is because as well as the charcoal they have some subtle brown panels too. As such they make great “stealth trainers” for work as well as for casual wear. They are certainly a bit different to all the other Skechers shoes out there and only have a subtle ‘S’ on the heel area so they are not easily identifiable as Skechers if you are not into wearing branded clothing. Some reviewers have remarked that the soles collapse with minimal wear. Well I have been wearing them every day for several weeks and so far the only signs of wear on the soles are around the heel strike area at the back of the shoe. Here the outer layer of rubber has worn off one of the grip “nodules” but structurally it is intact so I am not too worried about the longevity of the shoes at this point. The only slight criticism is that these are very warm shoes so great for winter but not so much at the height of summer. Also they are quite expensive compared to other Skechers but this might be because they are quite rare now as I think this is a discontinued style; get ’em while you can.

I generally like Skechers shoes however this particular shoe did not fit tightly and my ankle slipped out of the heel.

I generally where a size 8 Skechers shoe and in the past they’ve always fit, I ordered a size 8 in this shoe and found it was too big. The shoe itself is comfortable however the width is wide and the heel is cut low. My ankle would slip out of the heel which is great for slipping the shoe off with the laces tied but not great when walking long distances.

My other concern wit this shoe is the quality of the materials. The leather/vinyl on this shoe felt thin and cheap compared so some of my previous skechers shoes. To be fair these skechers are on the lower entry level price point and casual, not performance shoes but they just felt cheap and I was concern how long they’d last.

Overall these shoes were not for me and I ended up sending them back. If you do purchase a pair, I would recommend ordering a s1/2 size smaller as these do tend to fit larger.

This is my 4th pair of the same shoe. I buy a pair every 6 months and apart from sometimes needing a more formal pair of shoes I wear these continually. Well made, very comfortable and a good durable sole. The price, though, has continually gone up and if that continues I might look around for something else. For now, however, they are still excellent value.

I’ve been buying Sketchers Vassell (and sometimes the slightly different Galeno) shoes for years. I find that they are the perfect blend of casual and semi-formal, and are appropriate to wear in my casual office setting, at pubs, and around the city in general.

Quality is good, however I find the soles lose their bounce quicker than most other shoes. For this reason, I generally replace the shoes each year, even though the old shoes visually look good.

Price is fair, and I normally buy a spare pair when they come on sale (usually they fall to the $50~$60 range at least once per year).

Fit is average… Depending on brand, I need between size 12 and size 14. With Sketchers, size 13 is suitable.

I just received my newest pair of Desert colour shoes (normally I buy black or brown). They are a lighter colour than would appear in Amazon’s photos but look good. They also came with a second pair of laces, which is a nice bonus. They fit exactly the same as my previous Sketchers Vassell shoes.
