I bought the Pixel TW-283 E3 for remote triggering to photograph birds on the feeder at the bottom of our garden, a distance of around sixteen metres. It is easy to set up and works perfectly as advertised.
This is NOT a criticism of the product, but of myself. Any potential purchaser needs to think how it will be used. What I hadn’t taken into account is that once set up near the bird feeder, I couldn’t see through the viewfinder of the camera, so in that specific situation I had only the vaguest idea whether a bird was in frame. Generally they weren’t! This works well, but purchasers need to think how they will use it.
I have also used it as a remote trigger for self portraits and to also avoid camera shake, and it works perfectly.
Very happy to recommend and I would certainly buy again.

Just received today to use for ‘bulb’ mode shooting on a Nikon D850. Once the 10-pin connector is plugged into camera there is no control of the buttons on the back of the camera making it absolutely useless. Can’t change focus point, can’t zoom in to check focus and can’t access menu or playback of photo’s taken. Disappointing to say the least…

Wanted to be able to do time laspe with Sony RX10 Mk4 and Nikon D750. Having other pixel products I was pleased to see the connection leads are interchangeable. Instructions really take some understanding and not quite there yet, however have taken some very satisfying time lapse sunset scenes and generally very happy and pleased with this purchase. Product seems well built and should last. Nice and small so can fit in pocket and not take too much room up in the bag.

This unit works well on both my D850 and D7200. Appears to be well made. Simple to use once you figure out how the controls work. Only issue is the directions are clear as mud. What is missing is that you must set your camera controls to match the control setting that you are trying to use on the remote before taking the shot. The plug in control does not over ride your camera settings. Go to You Tube to check out the video setup required. Lots there, check a couple, some are better than others.

Dispute what the product says it does not work for a Nikon D850. It was hard to get the receiver for the hotshoot on the camera. Felt like it was going to break something forcing it. Even on the box it’s not compatible with D850
For the D850.. DO NOT BUY!!

Remote is good quality for the price. The buttons all worked well as well as the different functions on the remote. Instructions were included and were easy to understand, except for the timer schedule shooting feature. But this was the first time I’d ever used that feature, and I was able to google it and find a couple of videos on how to set it up. Used it to take my first star trails picture and it worked fabulous. Very pleased.

I’ve had multiple corded and wireless camera remotes and this is the best I’ve tried.
It can be used either wireless or wired and has quite a lot of options which will cover most scenarios.
However, you may find it doesn’t offer what you want/need – e.g. when setting it to take multiple photos the minimum gap between them is 1 second. I would really like to be able to set a delay, followed by a choice of how many pictures per second for a number of seconds; unfortunately you can’t do that with this.

Battery compartment had the wrong contacts. A spring was installed in the positive side and a plate on the negative side making contact to the battery loose. I have to make modifications to make it work (make the battery terminals to make contact. The spring contacts was also loose.

I purchased this as a cheaper alternative to the Hahnel Captur product. I have a Hahnel Giga T Pro that I’ve had about 7 years and it’s stopped operating. This product is simply hopeless. There is just no guarantee that it will fire the shutter when you need it to, to call it erratic is being kind. More often than not I’m having to press the button twice to get it to activate. I’m often using manual focus lenses so it’s not the af of the camera it’s the poor functionality of the product. Holding a couple of inches or feet from the receiver makes no difference.

Performs as advertised and a great well priced hi-tech alternative to the super expensive Panasonic button on a cable. You still need to put batteries (2xAAA) into the main controller even if plugged in directly for it to work, but this is a minor disappointment. As expected the cable is very short at 15 inches, but the controller is pretty light. The wireless option seems responsive. A good buy, and in my case arrived in less than one day with Intelcom free shipping!

Ordered and delivered in one day, tried it out on my Nikon Z7ii and it triggers the shutter remotely as advertised. Batteries were not included though. I set it up OK without using the on-line manual but if you want to use all of the features you might want to read the manual before buying. I will probably only use it for single-shot triggering. Considering something equivalent by Nikon will set you back over $350+tax even if it only lasts a couple of years it will probably be worth it.

My wife and I both have Sony A7 cameras, mainly because I like Sony gear and started down the Sony camera path when they brought out the Sony A100 back in the mists of time.
As such I bought the Sony remote shutter control that works off the long wandering lead. And, it works perfectly well albeit limited in use to simply shutter release and bulb mode by locking the button in place. It is well made with a proper ‘Sony’ quality feel to it. But wow, expensive for what it is.
So, as my wife and I have started to look at star photography we wanted something that offered more options such as multiple timed shots. And whilst Sony offer this option I would need a small mortgage to buy it, hence I arrived at this bit of kit.
First impressions are okay. Nothing fancy but a functional look. The main downside – and the dropped star – is the low rent plastic case. It feels brittle and poor(ish) quality.
However, putting this aside the truth is that this works perfectly well. It has all the options that you need, easily set up with the minimal buttons. Single shot, multiple, timed and bulb. Very easy to access and so far in a few weeks no issues at all.
The unit can be used directly by plugging in the handset to the camera and not bothering with the receiver – but the cable is quite short so not ideal. When the cable is plugged into the receiver which, conveniently locates into the flash shoe you have far more flexibility. The blurb says up to 80m which, might be over egging it a tad but I’ve used this at over 25m in my garden.
Takes two AAA batteries per unit so four in total. Not included.
Overall for a price that is about a third of the equivalent Sony item it’s a steal. The only thing letting it down is the lower quality plastic that gives this a cheap feel.

Should have purchased this remote years ago. It functional, works well and makes remote photography so much easier.
YouTube the set up for programming multiple shots with pauses and delays. The instructions are clear but the YouTube video is faster to comprehend
The receiver is tight when attaching it to shoe, so I only slide it half way on. When I use strobes, or multiple flashes – I let the receiver dangle by the wire. Moving forward I have to find a better solution
Bottom line the remote works really well and it also works well when also using a flash (strobe) controller
