I bought a 2021 Rav4. Dealer wanted$600 plus tax to install a Toyota Dashcam. That ain’t going to happen. So I transferred my existing wheelwitness pro camera to the new car. I was expecting grief, hard to install, etc. I had it installed and working in under 15min. Adequate cable length. The best part was the ability to choose the correct fuse slot compatible plug (kit comes with many different ones). To connect it to the unit is a simple push in plug with insulation covers. Getting the cable through the ceiling panel and post panels was easy, just be mindful of the airbag. The key to speed is to know which fuse slot to use. In my case it was the 15amp circuit that powers the rear seat USB plugs… that is dead when the ignition is off. Worth the effort. Recommend this Shishou wiring kit!

I have not yet installed my dash cam (Aukey DUAL cam) in my car. But I did bench test the complete camera system (with GPS module) using this wiring kit. I used a professional adjustable bench power supply and two external test meters, a Fluke 87v and an Amprobe ACD-15 TRMS Pro. Here’s my results: Maximum current draw (during power-up) is 246mA at 14.1vdc, 270mA at 12.5vdc and 301mA at 11.2vdc. Low voltage cutoff was 10.84vdc (the point where the camera FIRST turns off).
First, there is no reason to include 20A fuses, we aren’t using this kit to power headlights!. A 2A blade fuse is sufficient since this fuse is there to protect the wiring between your fuse box and the inline glass fuse, not the cameras (or GPS, etc.). The inline glass fuse (the fuse that protects the camera) isn’t clearly marked so I would replace it with a 1.5A fast blow just to be safe.
Next, the LVC (low voltage cutoff) is NOT 11.6V as described in the product description AND as printed on the little black box. It’s 10.84v…far below what’s needed to start my car. And although it does turn the camera off, the camera simply tries to turn back on (then off) over and over and over and over again. All the while the system is still pulling upwards of 190mA. This continues all the way down to 10.7v. I will not be relying on this kit to protect my car from a low voltage situation, EVER!!!

Purchased this to attach a new dash cam for my car.
After taking everything out of the box, I noticed that…
1. The fuses don’t fit into my car’s fuse box (whatever, they can’t get everything perfect)
2. The fuses don’t even fit into the kit’s own cables! Obviously poor manufacturing QA.
And finally… in the box, they give a card that says they’ll send you a $5 Amazon gift card if you give them 5 stars. Complete garbage & I can’t believe Amazon allows this sort of review manipulation.

I had to return this because it was completely faulty. The fuses regardless of which free fuse spot you try to install it in would not connect. It looks as though the adapter isn’t very well designed to clip into the fuse panel. Getting the supplied fuses into the adapter was a massive pain as well. As a result I had to return this item and use the dashcams supplied cigarette cable instead after spending an hour routing this cable around the dash. Not happy.

Very simple to install into your car fusebox. I have very little knowledge about cars and crimping electrical cables and stuff.
I simply inserted it, made sure I had the original fuse and the new fuse that came with it (you need to have both fuses plugged in otherwise it doesn’t complete the circuit… found this out the hard way!) and it works like a charm.
Highly recommend this for installing a dashcam!

Read online that this was an easy job and i purchase the parts on amazon. Watch some youtube videos and buy a multimeter. Install the parts – overall its pretty straightforward, turn the car on and there’s no power to my charger.
I use the multimeter to work my way up the components and then find that the micro-usb that shishuo makes has literally no contacts in it… its like they forgot to install them? Clearly they do 0 quality control on the parts they make.
Buyer beware – ordering this part from Shishou completely wasted my time.

Comes with a multitude of fuse types to work with the majority of vehicles. More than enough wiring, maybe a lil too much if you have a smaller vehicle.
When installing, make sure you choose a fuse that is always powered, regardless if the ignition is off or on or the vehicle is starting.
Interior lights are always powered so that would be the easiest option.
Brake lights are usually always powered, but sometimes they only power on when the ignition is on.
Some fuses, such as the radio, depending on the car, will have power if the ignition is off, or on, but will not have power when the vehicle is starting as power is cut to reduce load on the electrical system. This momentary cut in power is enough to cause the dash cam to turn off.

There is no real installation instructions but it’s a easy install. The hardest part was finding a ground screw which on my 2019 Honda CR-V is in a stupid place.
On the Amazon description page it tells you which fuse goes in which place. Would have been nice to include that in the directions.
My USB plug was a very snug which I like but made it hard to get it in.
I love that they include a large variety of fuse connections, should work for most cars.
