Very easy to fit to helmet, control and use are tricky but you get used to it, there is a learning curve. Phone works great, sound is fine at legal speeds, not brilliant just useable. My only gripe is I cannot unplug the speakers and mic to swap the kit between one helmet and another I have to move the entire thing. Other than that this is expensive kit but it does actually work as advertised with 2 phones / GPS and Intercom all at once.

Music volume = very very very poor. Intercom volume = brilliant. I can’t hear any music over 35mph. Intercom is crystal clear at 100mph+ with full akro system. I can’t figure out what is wrong and how to fix it. Phone calls, intercom etc. Is all ok and crystal clear, and excellent distances. Music? Pile of rubbish.

Bought the sena r after I tried using a cheaper system (lexin b4fm). The cheap system was useless as it was distorted and kept cutting out as well as not being loud enough. So I decided to spend the extra money for a premium system hoping the sena would do the job I need it to do. Good range. I was ahead of my wife by approximately 25 car lengths and I could still talk to her fine and hear her clearly. Set up was very simple and straight forward. Love the sena app. Love how the sena r is always paired to the other head set. The lexin was a pain in a neck always having to pair them everytime you turn them off and alot of the time they didn’t pair successfully for about 3 minutes. Sena makes its very easy and convenient especially with the mesh system which allows you to have multiple riders chatting together without any pairing complications. The sound quality is good but could still use more improvement as music is not as full as you would get on something like a beats head set. However the most important thing is that it delivers clear speech when talking and that’s the main purpose I bought it for. At highway speeds if you are not using a helmet that is shielding the mic from wind, you will get wind distortion sounds through the speakers. Best to use with a full face helmet or at least a modular helmet. I do not know how well this would perform with a open face helmet with constant wind in your face. Over all my own experience with the Sena r has been great so far.

But once you get it hooked up, it’s an amazing product! CarPlay works , make calls and receive, play music off Spotify, Apple, radio or anything else! Communication between you and your partner and more if your on the mesh system

After reviewing different intercoms of top brands and models on the market, I have made my choice on this set, and I am very glad to have it. My main use is to communicate all the time during the riding with my girl friend on another motocycle. This set is much better than my old system bought 10 years ago. The sound is loud and clear, battery capacity is good for almost all day riding with few stops, USB-C rapid charge 1 hour to full with any good 2A or more 5v USB charger (not included), or a good power bank. Many accessories are included for an easy installation on any type of helmet. FM radio and Bluetooth connection to cell phone are easy to use and very good. I have not yet tested for maximum range, maximum battery duration or voice command.

I buy the new sens 50s to replace my sena 20s evo, this is a piece of art, finish is incredible, the sound is better than the 20s, the volume according to sena is 7% increase, witch seem realistic with the new iPhone SE 2020 , the quality of sound is a big jump, bass is very impressive as sound quality, bass boost slightly drop the volume, simply be sure to place speakers near the ears!
The best setting is night mode for maximum volume on iPhone but for best sound, flat sound on iPhone and bass boost on sena EQ
The sena new 50 app and wifi app give a so simple adjustment and auto update in wifi
I can compare with cardo with JBL speakers for volume but sound quality, product support from sena and built quality is the reason I always stay with sena

Loving it, battery lasted all day listening music. My only beef is not having 2 sets of spacers, a set of thin 5mm and the included 10mm. The ones in the box are a bit thick making my ears hurt after 20 minutes and not using them make the speaker sound weak, really bad on the highway.

I wish I had bought this earlier! Incredibly easy to pair with phone. Auto update, awesome. Install extremely easy. I would recommend this 50s over any other brands. I had another very popular brand that had the battery mounted at rear of helmet, kept sliding off. The Sena, is all in one, and the main unit pops off the mount for easy charging, storage and security. Earphones are low profile and fit nicely into my HJC helmet, they do not put pressure on my ears, like my other brand name did. Less wires, easy to make a clean install. Many mounting accessories and options included.
No regrets.

Das teil ist nicht viel besser als ein billig Chinateil.
Sprachsteurung funktioniert nicht. Die Intercomverbindung zu einem anderen Hersteller funktioniert, aber dadurch wird die Bluetoothverbindung unterbrochen und dauernd wird probiert die Verbindung neu aufzubauen, damit ist keine Verbindung zum Handy oder Navi möglich.
Dieses ist schließlich das Topmodell von Sena da sollte dann doch schon alles funktionieren damit der Preis gerechtfertigt ist.

I got this Sena on Friday the 11th of June. 1h30 later, packed it up and sent it back, here’s my full review.
First of, the packaging is very Nice. Top Tier quality. Everything is well packaged.
The Sena 50S unit, is sturdy yet lightweight. The Jogwheel is very smooth and has a nice Click to it.
The Mounting is full metal with Screws, although a little cumbersom to mount on a Standard Helmet.
The Speakers although HD, would not play loud enough for my taste. Heck I got a Fodsport with 40mm Speakers that cost a fraction of this thing and had much nicer speakers with lot’s of bass and treble, which this thing lacks.
The App is somewhat outdated and cumbersom to use. Would sometimes disconnect the Headset altogether.
Easy to pair, easy to use otherwise.
Here’s why it is a 1 Star review :
The WiFi Cable wouldn’t connect to my Phone and let it Update the Sena 50S to the Software rev. 1.11.
Tried to Plug the Sena50S with the provided cable to the computer and get it update through the Sena Software on PC, but then the Software nor the PC would recognize the Sena 50S as plugged in or capable of establishing a connection. Tried different ports, nothing worked, yet it did recognize every other peripheral I had home. Contacted Sena and they never to this date have answered my Email, it’s been 2 Days already.
So without the Update I can’t enjoy this unit and I’d expect a Flawless experience for the Price.
This time Chinese products do it better for 1/4 of the price.
