Verry easy to install, but once I hooked everything up I noticed the remote wire turned my amp on even with the radio off any time my car has any type of electrical draw(opening the door and dome lights come on or even the pulse for checking for burnt lights when the car is shut off completely). When I turned my radio on I was getting no sound, so I checked and have audio signal voltage going into the unit but nothing on the rca outputs at all even with everything maxed out on the dials. As I was in the middle of an install I didn’t have much choice but to purchase a different unit locally to get the system up and running.

Works good and the instructions were easy to follow. Order a couple rolls of wire to go with this because the leads coming off the unit are only about 4″ long. I was lucky and had some left over from other projects. The adjustable bass controller, however, came with a long enough lead to run anywhere in my full size sedan from the trunk.

I was skeptical at first about this unit, but once I received it and saw what I was dealing with, I was impressed. They packed a lot into a small package. Easy to hook up. Used the power, ground and remote wires off my amp so that the amp turns on the unit instead of something else. My Ram truck already had wires in the back for sub hookups tucked underneath the right rear seat so inputs weren’t an issue. Lots of length in the volume control knob to run to the front of my truck. I keep the inputs on this unit turned down and make the sub’s mono amp do the work of powering the sub. Good, clean, clear, crisp bass. The only adjustments I make are to the amp itself, still trying to find that sweet spot! Lol

This is the 2nd time I purchased this unit, having the need to add a sub to the factory stereo. The first time I used a separate remote wire from the head unit but the second time, I used the remote lead. I am so surprised that it works. My only comment is that the line level may not be as loud as I would like it to be but is not very critical since I just increase the line output of the amp. Over all this is a great product.

The install was fairly straight forward.
Just a word of warning. If you don’t need the remote line to power on and off your amp, don’t connect the power cables to the LOC. Just hook up the speaker wire connections and you’re good to go.
I don’t need a remote amp power on because I’ve got the amp hooked up via an on off switch and 12v line. Still when I hooked up the power wires to the LOC, I was finding that the car battery was clearly getting drained the next day when I tried to start it up.
I then disconnected the power and ground wires from the LOC, and my car battery has been fine ever since.

The product works but not as is should be, the remote power for the AMP is randomly turning on the AMP from any power surge from the car, like when I open a door, the trunk anything that drains power will power up the AMP. I see many people here have this issue, I’ve contacted Scosche they promised me a replacement…will keep posted.

Muy buen producto. Lo utilicé para instalar un amplificador para bajos manteniendo el equipo original ya que estos no tienen salida en rca. Cumplió al 100. Y mejor aún me permite controlar el nivel de graves. Estoy muy satisfecho.

Best solution to add a sub to stock stereo. Wired for sonata 2012 and it was fairly easy to remove the dash and place it under the radio unit. The best part is the bass control knob, can’t be more satisfied. The wiring required to be connected with help from a manual I found online for the car radio, which was fairly easy to find. And the sound quality seemed a bit skeptical for me when I read many forums but I did have a professional sound system in another car I own and I got to say it’s worth it. No sound distortion, bass is clean and specially well suited with amps with low pass filter. Remote wires can be connected to any accessory port from the radio unit. It’s a very cheap and efficient way to hook up a sub to existing sound system.
I did the research and I’d say just go for it!

Used to install a subwoofer, monoblock amp to stock OEM system. Pulled dash off and mounted upfront behind deck with volume control under dash/steering wheel with included 3m 2 way tape. Unit works perfect. Used T- connectors for connection with stock wires to prevent cutting/damage; can quickly remove upon resale of car.
Just a note, I used the ignition accessory wire but can connect to 12v constant as well, the unit turns on when signal from speaker initiates and back off when music stops. Only needs one to engage, 2 will provide twice the voltage (both rca’s) but one is sufficient.
All in, was exactly what was needed and functioned as described.
Thanks Scosche

The product did what it was supposed to do…. except it was sending 12v our through the remote line. This was a problem because I was sharing the same remote wire with my amplifier. So it kept my amplifier on when my truck was turned off which killed my battery.
