I bought this warmer a month ago as a birthday gift. At first, I was amazed by its quality and its effectiveness is keeping my drinks warm. I followed all the instructions in their manual, and did not damage the warmer. However, it still stopped working within 2-weeks. I would opt for a slightly more expensive product for longevity.

I already had a mug warmer that I’d had for years but wanted a second one for a different room. This one works just fine. The only thing I don’t like is that the on-off switch is a little wheel on the cord about 18 inches down from the base. It’s awkward for me to reach, and I much prefer my old warmer where the on-off switch was on the base at the back. If I were going to buy another, I’d be sure I got one with the switch in a more convenient location. I’d probably also look for one that automatically turns itself off after a set period of time, even if it cost more.

No calienta como uno espera además la calidad e imagen no es muy buena para un típico producto de baja calidad.

so far this is a great little helper. My coffee always gets cold when I work at the computer so its been nice having the coffee stay hot lately.
I only use ceramic mugs, flat bottom ( no pedestal bases or feet).
Make sure you don’t let just a small amount of liquid sit in your mug for very long because it WILL GET HOT.
Try not to keep loose clutter around the mug warmer because it’s too easy to have something small fall onto the warming plate and it could cause an accident or even fire.
I love the on -off switch on the cord. Its so much easier than trying to flip a switch that is right on the warmer itself.( less chance of finger tip burning)
The price was just okay but so far the mug warmer seems worth it.
I recommend this product for it’s convenience, okay price and seemingly good quality.

I bought this to replace a well-worn Salton tea warmer that still worked after a decade but was showing its age. I was glad it kept the tea as warm as the old one, but the power cord (40″) is too short to have it sit by my computer, drape down the back of the table to a power strip underneath the table. I also don’t like the on/off switch being a few inches away from the warmer, so I would have to reach around the monitor to turn it off.
The old Salton warmer had a 68″ cord, and the on/off switch was right on the device. So another case of the new not being as good as the ol’ days.
I’ll use it in another room, and keep searching for a worthwhile replacement.

IMPORTANT: The product comes with a “2 year warranty”, but what they don’t mention in the fine print is that you have to pay for shipping and handling in advance – $12.50!! More than the item itself.
Only had it for a month and it stopped working. Great until then, but this morning I was surprised to take a sip of my lukewarm coffee. The light was on the mug warmer but when I touched the element it was barely warm. It was fine while it lasted, but if you’re looking for longevity this isn’t the one for you.
*EDIT* Of course it stopped working the day before the return policy expires, so now I’m stuck with a defective hockey puck on a string.

I’ve been using these devices for maybe 8 – 10 years and always buy the Salton brand. This new one works just as well or better than the others, and I think (not sure) that the surface of the hot plate is larger. The one problem I have with the new design is that the power button is now a switch that’s in-line on the power cord. There’s too much play in the switch, which makes it hard for me to turn the power on with the reduced range of motion in my right hand. However, it does its job very well.

It could actually warm up coffee that has turned cold! I have not had any problem warming up any mug that we have at home, not just the flat-bottomed ones. But then we don’t have any that has an especially concave bottom.
Loved it…..until it stopped working yesterday, 8 months after I bought it. The indicator light is on, but not the heating pad. Oh well, hence the three stars…. 🙁
UPDATE: We unscrewed the warming pad, then wrenched apart the cardboard in the centre. We could see the fine electric wires/filaments attached to the top cardboard — see picture. One of the wires was broken/cut in the middle (too bad I did not take a picture of the broken wire). Once we reconnected the two cut ends, the pad worked again! It has been working without fail for 2 more weeks so far.

Most mugs have a ring around the base that seats the mug bottom slightly off the table/warmer. These will not work effectively/efficiently with ANY warmer. You need to find a completely flat bottom mug. Those metal/tin camping style or a glass latte type cup work well enough to make my coffee bubble a bit. Stacking cups work ok since the bottom rim is shallow.

Garbage. I have owned mug warmers for many years. I brought this, because my old one died after two years of daily service.
This barely keeps a mug of tea warm. It’s at that intersection between cold and yucky warm tepid (you know that feeling).
It would have gone straight back were it not for the fact that I threw away packaging. I recommend the Norpro, which is excellent. Hopefully it will be back in stock soon (not in stock at time of writing)

To explain how much I like this mug warmer, I must say that over the past 2 years I bought 2 for myself (one for office and one for home), 3 as gifts and am continuously recommending it to everyone around.
I have been using my very first mug warmer in the office for 2 years now. The product itself has good quality and looks sturdy. The cord is not overly long to connect it to the other side of the room, but long enough to keep warmer on the table (roughly 101 cm (40.5 inches)). Has a standard wall plug. It also has a switch on/off light and a manual switch to turn on/off instead of unplugging. It does heat up the table underneath it, but my table is not damaged after 2 years, so all good.
Important to note: this warmer will not make your drink more hot, it will keep the existing temperature. For the first year of use, my drink was nicely hot all day long (8 hours in a row). Now, I may need to reheat the drink in the microwave after 5 hours, otherwise it will be warm (and I personally enjoy drinks a bit more hot). I use both regular ceramic mug and coffee cups (e.g. from Starbucks and Mconald’s).

This is great to keep my coffee warm so I don’t have to keep microwaving (and ultimately, give up). The only critique is that I wish the “on” light was on the opposite side of the cord. I have the cord coming from the back of my desk, so to check the light I need to remember to check it. I won’t just happen to see the light because it is facing the wall.
