The French Chef –
Took a trip to the Southwest and can say I was the only guy in any airport, including the mammoth ATL, doing it old school Indiana Jones style. Everyone has nylon, plastic, and carbon fiber wheeled bags. Functional sure but no sense of classic travel prevalent back in the day. Bag worked great for a couple three days of clothing and support items. Carrying is comfortable, the shoulder strap needs an additional pad especially if are packing heavy. Only complaint is storage on small aircraft. I was in MDC MD-90’s and Bombardier CRJ200’s and there was no way it would go into the overhead. Good heavy leather like this doesn’t really conform like nylon does. Underseat in both places worked fine. It can also be checked at the gate in their “auxiliary” storage which is returned at the jetway shortly after landing. So except for not being able to get stuff mid flight it’s not a terrible inconvenience. And can I make one more unrelated suggestion? EVERYONE has their devices when they travel. If you buy this bag get a couple of books, the paper kind, to read instead of sticking your head in the device. A book is much more suited to the vibe of this bag as you wait for your connecting flight.

The bag was a hit with my brother in law for his birthday. Very pleased with the quality of the bag for the price, the dark brown already looks a bit distressed which I though suited the style well, and should hopefully lend itself well to accommodate further bumps and scratches as it gets used and well loved over the years. The bag seems well made, with durable seams and zip closures. Very pleased with this purchase

I have always wanted a bag like this. Everyone I saw with one said they got them in another country. So the other day I said to myself “self” check on Amazon they have everything. I got my bag one day before my flight. I have gotten so many compliments on it. It is well put together, durable, good size. I got 4 days worth of clothes including underwear, socks and my toiletry kit. So far I love. You know this to be true because this is my first review I’ve ever written. The quality of this bag is undeniable. The straps are stitched with sturdy hooks that are on a swivel which is super convenient. It smells great. The zipper doesn’t catch and seems to be well made. My only two points of contention is that
1. The lining is kind of loose on the inside and isn’t real secure to the bag and
2. The color of the leather represented is misleading. The bag is much darker and more “marbled” than pictured. I’ll post what mine looks like.
