Recently moved into a studio/almost 1 bedroom apartment with a weird open floor plan that leaves my bedroom area without an actual door.
I got this as a way to create more room separation and give the place a more distinct boundary as well as privacy when needed.
At the time of buying it, this was one of the cheapest available dividers that didn’t look like junk. It’s light but seems durable. Fairly easy to open/close and relocate.
Perhaps an actual hinge and handle system on it would add to its functionality and ease of use. I’d image the actual paper portion of this would puncture or rip easily if you’re not careful, so beware when moving it around and where you place it.
Overall, I like it and it fits with the rest of my house decor well.

I bought this room divider after my cat tried to get away. I had previously a dog gate but it wasn’t high enough so the cat was able to jump on the other side after a few attempts. Instead of buying another dog gate and screwing them together, this room divider came handy. It’s cuter than a fence, doesn’t look like a prison, creates a separation with the entryway so I don’t see the clothes and racks, matches with the decor and is see-through enough so the light filters. As shown on the picture, I was able to screw a door locket on it and create a “door” with the pannel that opens and closes on the right side, but a small one only, as the wood is not that thick. If you screw something, do it very gently. It is sturdy enough for the price point, but I wouldn’t recommend for a bigger cat or even a dog if you buy this item for that purpose, as the rice paper is a bit on the thin side. You can harden the paper with liquid acrylic (or any home-made glue that hardens paper if you’re crafty). The black bars are on one-side only so if you have to replace the paper, I’m assuming it’d be easier to swap it since the bars are not on both sides. Any wallpaper of your choice could replace it if you want to create a different backdrop. The hinges seems tough enough to allow the panel to open and close multiple times a day. I will have to install some kind of handle though, so my 12yr old can open the pannel without ripping the entire thing. I don’t know how long it’s going to last, but for this price, I’m willing to try it out. I shopped over 3 weeks for a room divider that wouldn’t cost $350. This one goes all the way to the floor, with no gap between the wood and the floor – the cat can’t get away. Shipping was not the fastest though, but the package arrived without any damages and although some of the other customers had a damaged item, Purolator delivered mine without any issues.
I would recommend, keeping in mind that at this price, you can’t expect the paper and wood to be as tough as nails, but the paper can be easily coated with Modge Podge or replaced with something else. For my needs, it fits the bill so far. I haven’t coated mine yet, fingers crossed the cat won’t try to climb the bars before I coat the rice paper.

The “ricepaper” is like the paper reusable shopping bags are made of but the screen looks nice and stands up well. The hinges are a bit prominent so there is a gap between the panels.

After reading people’s reviews on this (and I do that with every purchase on amazon) I was a little worry if this would arrive damaged. But BUT it came and was well protected (even though it was a day late). It looks amazing in my room and I will recommend to other people. For the price you can’t go wrong with it.

I loved that this let’s light filter through. Working from home I have to do the occasional video chat. This helps block the rest of my space from looking cluttered in the background without having to rearrange everything. It is lightweight and easy to set up and take down and store (if that is your preference).

I like this screen. I think a splash of black in every room brings sophistication. This screen does the job. Small apartment with a need to separate the desk/office area from the eyes of guests.. it still allows light to get through from the window, but offers privacy

Looks great, ordered two one was damaged but it was small at the bottom. The fabric/paper is fragile so tears easily. The second one tipped over and hit a chair and the panel ripped. Debating on a third order ,I want them both to match but leery about another accident
