We have a bunch of the Retevis RT22 Walkie Talkies in my sheet metal fab shop. The idea was to clip the walkie to your belt and run the mic to our collars. But its a very loud environment and these speaker mic’s cut the volume of both the speaker and the mic transmitting a message down to a unnoticeable level.

Pros:
easily attach to radio
clips on / fits comfortable on jacket, sweater or shirt
CONS:
not very loud
works better in areas where there’s not much noise like a security desk or residential lobby area.
Def not recommended for outside noisy events

Had some issues with my initial units but cs accommodated my request for replacement units. Good customer service. Typical performance for the price point.

Returned them with the radioes. The full volume on radioes was very quiet and even with mice was hard to hear.

They work fantastic!!!

These mics worked very well. The sound quality is very good. They seem to be hold up well with the rough treatment they get from my employees.

If you are using in an environment with metals ie: fabrication , grindings they will fail quickly. I was diligent on keeping the metal dust and filings away from the mic. still gathered quickly and failed. feels cheap and the button stopped working on 4 units within a week.

DO NOT buy these if they will be used for anything more than weekend comms with the kids. These were easy to install, use, and attach to gear. They did not communicate well at all. Missed radio calls, unintelligible transmissions, and extremely poor quality lead us to ban this entire brand at our work site. Two incidents of poor communication were directly liked to accidents we had onsite. Amazon accepted our return request with no difficulty. Save yourself a headache, an accident, or worse, an injury and stay away from these.
After removing them and using the radios by themselves, we have been very happy with the Quansheng handheld.
If you look at the older reviews, there were many 5 and 4 star; conversely, after 2018, most are not so good. Believe the new ones and see that the clarity and quality have taken a dive.
Wish I would have trusted My initial impression…. Great price, but what’s the rest of the story??
