I cannot control my Dyson fan as well with these off-brand ones. But they work.

First of all, I purchased this filter for a Dyson Pure Cool + Hot fan/air purifier so if you have this machine DO NOT PURCHASE a knock off filter.
We have had our Dyson Pure Cool + Hot for about a year and a half and the app finally alerted us that it was time to replace the filter. We were glad to see that there were alternatives to buying the filter direct from Dyson (which was $80+ after shipping/tax) so we could save some money.
When I got this filter, the first thing I noticed was that it didn’t fit exactly right. It took a lot of effort to get the base cover snapped in over it, but it worked, so hey, savings!!! After about 6 weeks of use, we started getting an E error on our fan in heating mode, which signified that the fan was malfunctioning in some way. Dyson suggested to try and clean the fan, make sure there was no debris, etc that could be causing it. I used canned air to blow out the fan and the intake behind the filter. Still did not fix the issue. I knew it wasn’t the heating coil because it would generate heat for a minute but then give the E error again (after unplugging the machine for a few).
We decided we would bite the bullet and get a filter directly from Dyson because that was the last thing we could think of. Yes it’s 2x the price but we use this fan every day and love it, and the original filter lasted for well over a year so it was worth it to try to keep the fan going.
Sure enough, installed the Dyson filter an hour ago and the fan has been working since with no errors. We can only assume that the sensor in the air filter was triggering the error due to the aftermarket filter not being as good of quality.
TWO THINGS I notice between the Dyson and the aftermarket filter is that the cover snaps right in after putting in the Dyson filter unlike this one. ALSO the construction is CLEARLY different between the Dyson and aftermarket, Dyson filter has a sturdier mesh material around the outside that this one does not.
So yes it stinks to have to buy the over priced filters from Dyson but they are clearly superior and are filtering particles to a higher standard which now has our fan working again. Worth it since they last for so long.
TLDR; Don’t buy this filter if you have a Dyson Pure Cool + Hot Fan/Air Purifier!!!

Fits & works. Only concern is that it has been inconsistent with reading the environment accurately. Kept running thinking the air quality was poor. Turned it off and restarted it. Seems to be working fine for now. Time will tell.

Filtre trop serré, difficilement compatible, très déçu, plus jamais !

When I put this filter in, my machine was reading that it wasn’t in correctly, so not sure why. I was getting the F signal. But I had a Dyson filter too which was reading the same.

Not original Dyson filter, but who cares? You could buy 2 of these for the price of one Dyson filter. Also surprised how long it took for my original Dyson fan to show the “F” to remind me to change the filter. Overall very happy. Will order a back-up.

Sure, it’s cheap and will at least seem like it works for the first few weeks, however, it will eventually clog up extremely quickly without even looking dirty. I feel like it was designed to fool you into thinking everything is fine just long enough for the refund policy to expire.
You will clearly feel the airflow quickly diminish within a month and the heating function of our dyson will cease working due to overheating. I’ve never had problems with the official filters.
Do not purchase this filter. A savings of $40 is not worth damaging a product 10x the amount.

Even though I ordered the correct filter it did not fit my unit and I had thrown out the box so unable to return.

I ordered one of these in January and was very happy with it. It “clicked” into my Dyson and everything worked seamlessly. I reordered from the same store, but this is a different filter. It’s too big and there are gaps between the parts.
I’m extremely annoyed. I expect the same exact item as what I originally bought; this is the same boo number. Nothing should have changed.
In addition, I can’t not have my filter run. I live in an area currently affected by wildfire smoke; turning off the purifier until a better fitting filter arrives isn’t an option, so I can’t even return this one after getting a proper replacement.

I purchased one a year ago and it worked well and fit my machine, so a year later a purchased a second one. Cost is much less than buying original replacement and seems to work as well.

Beware. This filter is cheap. It may fit your machine. But it is not the same filter that Dyson sells. I decided to order one from Dyson this time, because my order didn’t arrive. I looked at my old filter that I ordered here last year versus the new Dyson filter. The Dyson filter has about 3 times more filtering material (folds) and it also appears to have more charcoal. You get what you pay for. My sugestion: If you want a cheap filter this will do. If you want a better/good filter order from Dyson.

Updated review: definitely not worth it. My fan runs much louder from air restriction and the fit on the seals DID have gaps in the contact points and leak. TONS of debris buildup around the seals that likely made it into the fan and heating element.
Doesn’t quite sit right in my Dyson Pure Hot+Cool Link purifier. Placing the cover back in place with the filter was tight and it doesn’t quite sit the same, which leads me to think it may be too stressed a fit and have some leaks around the seals.
