Great keyboard so far (only used for a few hours).
Watch out for the layout, which I did not, and that is why I gave the low rating.
If you don’t mind your ” and @ being on the wrong keys then there is no issue.

Hands off !!! Only works online, an account with the manufacturer is mandatory.

Konfigurationssoftware stürzt ständig ab und ist mit für mich nutzlosen Features überladen.
Configuration software keeps crashing and is overloaded with features that are useless to me.

I had this keyboard and loved it as I could change songs in mid games with the keyboard shortcuts and the other things you could program it for but when I spilled about a shot glass worth of water from my water bottle onto the keyboard in the middle of it, instantly after that my ESC key all the way to F12 keys would not respond anymore. the keys would still light up but were completely useless after.

This is by far the best keyboard I’ve used (and I’ve used a lot of different keyboards, including ergonomic ones).

I can’t say enough good things about this keyboard. The mechanical switches give excellent feedback, the size and weight of the keyboard is perfect, and the Chroma RGB lighting feature with it’s integration into my other PC lighting components, Razer mouse, and Philips Hue lighting is perfect.

The keys are a bit noisy when pressed (which is expected with any mechanical keyboard), but it’s not bothersome when using it. I use this keyboard for my day-to-day work as well and I’ve been told that the keys are loud when on conference calls with a headset, but I’m mindful of this and mute the microphone.

Overall – an amazing keyboard and another excellent product by Razer. Highly recommended!

Really cheap considering its a Razer keyboard, super easy to clean with a wet cloth just a little hard to get in between the keys, wide customizable LED support on the razer synapse application. Keys are quiet but a little wobbly when you glide your fingers across them. No macros on the left side of the keyboard which makes me regret buying this after i realised i couldve gotten a corsair keyboard at the same price with macros on the side, but whatever.

I got this keyboard on-sale for ~$60. My rating tries to reflect that (i.e. if I’d paid 50% more, then it might have landed at two-stars). And for the review:

The membrane keyboard is a bit stiff, and reasonably quiet (it’s not silent, by any means, but neither is it “clicky”). There is a bit of flex in the deck, but the overall build quality seems decent.

The slip-pads are large (it looks like >one square inch for each of four).

The tilt legs have two height levels to chose from, which is a nice perk at this level.

They key size and spacing is nice, and there is just the right amount of RGB lighting peeking through (note that there are many, many levels of brightness so you should be able to find a happy lighting level with ease). I’ll note that while only Windows is officially supported, I have used the open source software that runs on Linux for the Chroma devices; There are (unsurprisingly) fewer features, but it does provide some control over the keyboard lighting. (For example, I was able to put the keyboard into various modes, such as “wave” and “breathe”, and was even then able to move the keyboard between devices while maintaining it’s lighting settings. (By default, the keyboard does a spectrum-shifting mode with the entire keyboard shifting colors at once and slowly over time cycling through the rainbow).

One huge reason I’ve dropped a couple stars from the score for this review: whether in Windows or Linux, you have no control over the speed of the various effects; this seems like a huge oversight.

Overall, they keyboard is fairly easy to use: hold the function key to access the special keyboard controls that increase/decrease the lighting level, to record a macro, or to toggle “gaming mode” (disables the Windows key). Sadly, the keyboard doesn’t support on-board profiles or on-the-go profile switching. Aside from turning the lighting on or off, you will only be able to control the lighting through the Razer Synapse or Open Razer Project software.

My final analysis: if you want a mostly no-frills RGB keyboard, the Razer Cynosa Chroma should remain on your short-list of contenders, especially if you can get it for $60 or less. The build quality seems decent, and while the keyboard lacks some nice premium features such as a volume wheel, a USB pass-through, mechanical switches, or a braided cable you’re hopefully not going to pay what you might reserve for a premium keyboard, either.

If, on the other hand, you were expecting a robust and user-friendly lighting management option, I would discourage the Razer Chroma products, and the Cynosa in particular.

The keyboard was shipped in time and in perfect condition. The keys and lights are easy to setup and sync with the mouse (if you want it to). I have a Razor mouse as well. I still need to experiment a bit more. So far, it is great and makes it easier playing because I like a dimmer light when playing and you can see the keyboard easily. The keys feel good and are spaced well enough so you aren’t tripping over your fingers like I was on a smaller keyboard.

I just love it. As described.
The lighting mode are fun to play with.
Good feel. Very comfortable for work and for play.
Didn’t have any issues with any bars squeaking or anything. All is still in perfect condition.
I’ve had it for a about 8 month and would buy the same again.

    Only drawback:
Apparently it is VERY noisy according to my roommate, but any KB during a gaming session at 2 am would be noisy i think…

The feel of the keyboard is right on the money. The keys are firm and pretty quite but definitely not silent. The colours look super nice and has plenty of options but that is when the software is working. The only downfall to the keyboard is the razor central software to customize the keyboard is super glitchy and doesn’t always work with windows 10. The solution i found was, when you install the razor software don’t download any of the extra plug-ins only get the synapse plug-in and since then its been fine. That will limit how many things you change on the keyboard but you still get plenty of options with the synapse plug-in like colour change, and re mapping keys.

They Keyboard is nothing special but its horribly noisy and I notice squeak noise. The Keyboard is amazing to look at but when it comes to practical use and comfort I would rate this as Zero stars.

Disappointed that Razer gave this keyboard its seal of approval, I expected more from Razer.

Although a huge gamer i wanted a backlit keyboard. Went middle of the road and it’s a great keyboard. Very standard layout, very natural to use, quality built with full colour and brightness range. No regrets.

I give this keyboard 1 star because of the extremely intrusive software/spyware that you have to use to control the lighting. The software to control the keyboard is web based and you have to log in use it otherwise you have no control of the lighting. While you’re logged in they capture EVERY KEY STROKE you make, scan your pc for hardware and track everything you do on the web. Read the agreement before you use the software.
